Chapter Sixteen

It's been weeks since Tristan came into Moonlight Wolf Pack and into the alpha of the pack's mansion. Whom he later found out was his mate. He not only found his mate but also a son. Tristan had been spending time with both lvan and Alan and they have also been doing a lot of fucking. The mating heat had even suppressed almost to nonexistence. Now a days, the mating heat was not intense like when they first met. They just couldn't get their hands off each other for an hour, they even had to disappear to have sex when they were playing with Alan. But now, they could separate for an hour to two, but the big alpha didn't want that. It won't even be an hour when he would be back, searching for Tristan for a good fuck, a kiss, a hug and his sweet scent.

The alpha had also been abandoning his work to spend time with his family which has gotten him into trouble more than once. Tristan thought it was actually funny watching the alpha running around with Even after him. Sometimes he would hide but Chris always found him and dragged him to the office by the collar.

Lvan would be struggling to get away. Whining and throwing tantrums, making Tristan and Alan laugh. Tristan thought even Alan wouldn't do what the big alpha had been doing. But other times, Tristan had to promise lvan a kiss, sex, hand job or a blowjob before he willingly went to work. And in those times, Tristan thought the alpha looked cute when he was going to work after the promise, looking so happy. It made Tristan wondered how the alpha would look like if he told him he loved him. He knew it hasn't even been a month since they met but, he loved the big alpha more than he had ever loved anyone.

He didn't even know when he started falling for the alpha but knew he loved the alpha a lot, not to forget his son who was now his too. He loved both of them and he couldn't imagine a life with both of them in it.

Tristan had learned a lot about Lvan but the one thing he wanted to know so badly, he hadn't gotten the courage to ask. And that was about Alan's mother and lvan's ex wife, Mavis.

Rex only told him her name when he asked about her.

'I don't think am the right person to tell you about her, ask lvan' his friend said after saying the woman's name.

Tristan was curious and frustrated because no one would tell him. Rex wasn't the first person he asked, he also asked Even, Chris, James, Minna, Sandy and even Debby, he asked almost everyone in the mansion. He knew Alan would have told him if he asked but he didn't want to bring back the grief and sadness the kid felt when his mother felt him. His heart wasn't made of ice and he wasn't such a terrible father either.

He had gotten a lot of opportunities, like when he was curled in bed with lvan, talking about themselves, cracking jokes and laughing but he still couldn't ask. Lvan also hasn't asked him about what happened in his former pack and why he left. He could tell lvan was sparing him the pain. And he was actually grateful for that. His mate was a good person.

He sometimes also wondered what lvan's parents was like. Are they also kindhearted and good people like their sons? Did they also have the looks and cuteness like their sons and grandson who also inherited them? He wondered if they loved their sons more than anything, because his parents had thought him that, the fact that they gave birthed to him and his brothers didn't mean they were obliged to love them. He couldn't wait to meet lvan's parents even though he was also scared. He wondered if they would accept him even though he was omega and that too a male one. He was terrified out of his mind but he was also excited to meet the parents of his mate.

His friend. He hasn't been able to stop thinking about the small man. Thinking about the friend he left behind breaks his heart like nothing else. For the past weeks, he had been trying to get in touch with Jake but, his friend hadn't answered his phone not even once. And he was too scared to leave a message in case those demons found or had the phone Jake used to communicate with him. He thought of telling lvan everything and asking him for help. He had to go back for his friend and find out about what happened with his brothers.

Since he hadn't been able to get in touch with his friend, he also hasn't found out how his brothers are doing. He was even more worried about them because his last conversation with Jake he felt Jake was hiding something from him about his brothers.

"Hey, brother-in-law" Tristan snapped out of his thoughts and turned to look Rex who sat on the couch in lvan's room with a smile on his face. He moved in with lvan the day after lvan asked him to. After he moved in, Alan showed his opposed to it. He said if Tristan moved in with his father then he wouldn't be able to sleepover with Tristan. He remembered perfectly, that day, Alan only agreed to his moving in when Tristan suggested Alan sleepover in his and lvan's room when he wanted to. So that he would have both his fathers with him. It would be a perfect sleepover as family. Alan beamed with happiness, nodding his head as he agreed.

Tristan smiled at the memory. "Hey, brother-in-law" Tristan came out of his thoughts, looking at Rex who was waving at him. Ah, Rex has been calling him brother-in-law lately and he couldn't tell him to stop because it is true. Getting mated in paranormal world is almost the same as getting married. But with paranormal beings, its much more powerful. it binds both bodies and souls. The mating pull doesn't make the two mates fall in love. It's a decision their heart and themselves had to take.

"Yes?" Tristan picked up the magazine he was reading which he dropped on the bed while he was in thought. He came back into the room when lvan left to work and Alan left for school. To his free bored of mind, he found this magazine. He dropped it when he was busy in thought. He didn't even realise when Rex entered the room.

Sighing, he closed the magazine and placed it beside him. "You still haven't found a job?" Tristan sighed. Lvan didn't want him to work, saying he had a fortune for the three of them to survive. He said Tristan didn't have to work and that he would take care of him and Alan. But he, he didn't want to work not only because he wanted to earn money but also to spare himself from getting bored.

"Your brother wouldn't let me work. No matter how many times I bring it up, he always says 'You don't have to work' and by the look on his face, you know is finally and the decision has been made. By him, fucking alone"

Rex cleared his throat. Tristan was angry. He has never seen him angry before. He had learned a lot about Tristan and had also seen a lot sides  of Tristan but he has never seen him angry. This is a new thing.

"How about I speak with him? I can....

"No, you don't have to be. If I ignore him for a minute to two, he would know am serious" Rex looked at Tristan with widened eyes. Did he just heard right? If he ignored his brother for a minute or two he would know how serious he was? A minute or two? Seriously? How the fuck would lvan know Tristan was ignoring him if it had only been a minute or two? Was being mated that powerful? 

"Ah, okay" Rex mumbled.

"So, why are you here? Shouldn't you be working?"

"Oh, that's right, I almost forgot. Lvan sent me to tell you mother and father will be coming tonight for dinner" Hearing that he would be meeting his Mother-in-law and Father-in-law, Tristan got up in shock. Looking at Rex with widened eyes.

"They're also coming to scold lvan and me. None of us made the attempt to tell them when lvan found his mate"

"To—Tonight?" Tristan asked nervously as he sat on the bed. Rex got up from the couch and walk towards Tristan. Reaching the bed, he took the magazine which was beside Tristan, threw it farther on the bed and sat beside him.

"Are you nervous?" Rex asked incredulously.

"What if they don't like me?" 'And why the heck didn't lvan tell me himself? I would have gotten a little better if he was here. Told me this news and was now comforting me' Tristan sighed. Lvan was in a lot of trouble.

"Don't worry, they will love you" Rex assured him as he put his hand on Tristan's shoulder and squeezed. Tristan didn't believe that, but he was willing to trust his friend Rex. "Okay" Tristan said and managed a smile, in return, he got one of Rex's best smile. "Okay, now..." Rex got up and stood before Tristan, "How about we go for a walk or something?" Rex asked with beaming eyes. Tristan didn't really want to leave the house but seeing that beaming look, he knew he couldn't say no. He can never say no to both Alan and Rex. He sighed and answered, "Okay"

Lvan was seated at his best and instead of working, he was daydreaming about his mate. Irritating the hell out of Chris and Even who were doing their jobs. Ah, his mate. Tristan was one of a kind. He was beautiful, cute, adorable, considerate, kindhearted, honest, smart, gorgeous, sexy, shit! His mate was a lot of things and he learned a lot about him for the past week. Which has also led him to falling harder for his mate.

This was the reason why he didn't want Tristan working. What if someone snatched his mate from him, kidnapped him or worst killed him internationally or uninternationally. He couldn't leave without his mate, not anymore. And it was like Tristan didn't understand. Why was he so bent on working? What's so special about working? He had a fortune to cared for both his mate and son. Tristan didn't need to work because as his mate, his fortune as also now Tristan's.

Maybe he could finally let Tristan understand before the dinner because he was positive Tristan would bring that up. And then maybe he could talk Tristan into going for a run in the wolf form after dinner. He still hasn't seen Tristan's wolf form but he sometimes felt him. It seemed like sometimes when he spent time with Tristan, his wolf was also almost at the surface. He felt like that because even his wolf would also be almost at the surface. He wondered if his wolf and Tristan's wolf were conversating or something.

Sighing, his memory reminded him the message he sent Rex to deliver. He hoped Tristan wasn't that nervous. He wanted to go himself but Chris wouldn't let him. Sigh, he hoped his mate was okay. His mate.

Lvan smiled at the thought. Chris and Even had had enough. They didn't call lvan on his daydreaming because they wanted to finish their jobs fast and leave lvan alone with his without help. They would go out and relaxed while he stayes in and worked his ass off with no help. This was their plan and that was why they hadn't bring lvan out of his thoughts to work. But now, lvan working alone with help didn't sound like him. They would have to bring out of his thoughts and they knew just what would.

Chris and Even shared a look and both nodded like they understood both's plan. "Alpha" lvan snapped out his thoughts and looked at Even who called out him. "What?" He asked with a suspicious tone and look. "I heard you and Tristan fighting about Tristan working" Even attacked with a smirk. Chris turned to look at Even, then lvan. Really, why didn't he know about this?

"Go home will you?!!" Lvan groaned. "But I get so lonely Leaving alone in the house" Even replied with a sad look and pouty lips. "Then go find your mate!!" Lvan said, his face burning with anger. "Eh!! Lvan, you're so cold hearted!! Are you making fun of me because you found your mate!! Remember we were once birds of the same feathers and now....!! I'm so hurt lvan!! I hate you!!" Even said dramatically and faked tears. Lvan rolled his eyes, knowing full well Even was just acting.

"Okay alpha — no, lvan. I don't want to know your reason for not supporting Tristan when he wants to work because I know is stupid. You're not Tristan's parents or his brothers and he has no obligation to listen to you but he is doing it anyway. He can take any decision he wants and if it doesn't involve him getting into danger then he can go ahead and you will support him why? Because that's part of being his mate. He wanted your support, that's why he has taken a step and what have you been doing? Acting on your selfishness"

Lvan had no words to defend himself because he knew Chris was right. Everything Chris said was correct. Lvan looked away from Chris's gaze. Too embarrassed and guilty to look at him. "Okay. But if I sense he's in danger or anything, he's resigning" lvan said.

"Okay" lvan nodded and got up. "Okay, now am done"

"What the....., you haven't even finished yesterday's paperwork! You're not going anywhere" Even said and earned a glare from lvan. "What will you do then? You can't stop me" Even frowned. Lvan smiled and walked towards the door but Chris was fast using his shifter ability as he moved like bolt and blocked the door. Lvan was stronger and faster than Chris. He wouldn't have said the same before 3years ago. Lvan stopped in his tracks, glaring at Chris.

"Out of the way Chris"

"Sit your goddamn ass down now lvan!!" Chris shouted. They stood there in a staring competition for about three to four minutes before lvan rolled his eyes and turned to leave for his desk. He sat down and began working with a blank expression. Chris sighed and took his seat. He ever liked it when he acted that way towards lvan but the alpha was just so stubborn. He sighed again and continued with his work. Even looked at his tow friends and sighed. He knew what was going to happen next.

Sebastian who was at the front door and heard everything was so shocked at the scene just now. So it was true. The rumors was true. Only Chris could command the alpha and he would obey. Wow.

"Come in Sebastian, I know you're out there" Even said when he smelled Sebastian's scent. Sebastian cursed and opened the door to the office and entered.

Tristan and Rex were on their walk and he couldn't help looking around. The town was really beautiful. He couldn't help but compare it with his former pack and this beautiful always won. He was proud of lvan. Rex told him about how this town used to be so old fashioned and how much it has changed since lvan became alpha. There were still some people who were against the change. Moonlight Wolf Pack used to a pack who distanced themselves from other packs. They didn't alliance with other wolf packs or other paranormal packs. They didn't even want to trade with humans and other paranormal beings.

They did everything alone and that led to them losing the war 3years ago. Rex told Tristan about the war which happened 3years ago. 3years ago, the Moonlight Wolf Pack was attacked by a group of vampires. A lot of lives was lost and a lot of damage was done but the group of vampires who attacked them all lost their lives. It was after the war that the former alpha which is lvan's father, resigned and lvan was crowned as the next alpha.

The pack resented vampires and would not agree to allying with them no matter how many times lvan brought up the topic of allying with a vampire coven. Tristan understood them but he also understood lvan. They needed a group of strong allies who would take them to victory in case they were in trouble and vampires were strong. They would be a lot useful if they ever needed help.

"Are you okay?" Tristan came out of his thoughts, looking at Rex who had a worried look on his face.

"I'm fine" Tristan assured him and looked up ahead. He saw Even's brother and Chris's friend. Roy and Colten. Roy was Even's brother while Colten was Chris's friend. Even and Roy looked a little alike.

Roy was a werewolf like his brother while Colten was a dragon. He hasn't said a lot about his clan so that's all Tristan knew. He has taken a liken into them because of the perfect accomplishment of the mission they did. Weeks ago, lvan was supposed to go on a mission but he fell sick

He had found his mate but hadn't claimed him yet. This was the reason.

And that was why Roy and Colten went on the mission instead, and they did a perfect job.

It was too bad Tristan didn't get to meet the male omegas who were rescued. It seemed they all found their mates on their way back to Moonlight Wolf Pack for shelter. They were 5 in totally and they all found their mates. How lucky they were. Then after Roy and Colten delivered the news, they decided to stay in town for sometime.

"Hi Tristan, Hi Rex" Roy said as they stood before him and Rex. 

Both Tristan and Rex smiled as they replied, "Hi"

"You guys going for a walk?" Colten asked. "Yes. Do you guys want to join us?" Tristan asked. Roy and Colten both looked at each other and smiled. "Okay" it was Roy who answered. They all smiled at each other and Roy and Colten joined Tristan and Rex on the walk.

"This town really is beautiful, I just can't get enough. I wish I can stay here forever but then, I have a job to get back to" Tristan, Rex and Colten smiled at Roy's statement. He was right. The two was beautiful with all the flower decoration, the colours and structures of the buildings, the roads and street lights. Moonlight Wolf Pack was a small town which had been walled leaving the town in the middle. The people in the town were not all wolves. 33 wolves including including pups, 10 humans and 1 dragon which was Colten. Many of the houses were actually, empty. The houses were built for future guests who would have nowhere to go and would want to stay in town. Rex told Tristan how hard it was for the pack to agree letting strangers more less humans into the pack. It was hard but he accomplished it. Still are few against it.

Lvan was not only kind but also thoughtful. He really nailed an amazing mate. He was one lucky bastard.

"Yes, this place really is beautiful" Tristan stated with a smile. "So, are you guys also coming for the dinner?" Rex asked.

"Ah, Even said something about the former alpha and his wife coming for dinner tonight. Are we really invited?" Roy wasn't a member of Moonlight Pack even though his brother was. Roy lived and worked in Newly City, a humans city among humans. Humans knew about paranormal beings and accepted them but there were still a few who didn't. Some paranormal beings lived with humans while majority lived with their packs. Not all paranormal beings were welcoming of humans and other paranormal beings. Some packs lived in the old fashioned way where they only accepted their pack members and weren't always accepted of their kinds while some had modernized their packs.

Roy didn't know if he was welcomed to join the dinner party as the brother of the alpha's beta. Because at the end of it all, he still wasn't a pack member.

"You're invited Roy. You too Colten. You're lvan's friends that makes you more than welcome to join us"

"But is a family dinner" Colten interjected. "Come on, like you don't know. Chris and Even are already a part of our family and since you are like Chris's family" Rex pointed at Colten then Even "And you are Even's brother, you're part of the family now"

Roy and Colten looked at each other and then smiled. "Is this dragon scent am smelling?" A man said. They all stopped and turned to look on the left where the voice came from. Stood on the left was old man Secks with five other men. Old man secks together with the five men who always opposed with every decision lvan made. The strongly believed in the old fashioned way even after the war, they still believed in it. They didn't like humans, strangers and other paranormal beings. They were the ones who didn't like the idea of lvan being the pack leader and still don't. These guys were like the negative energy in the pack. They always had a problem while others didn't.

Tristan noticed two of them as the ones who were giving him disgusting looks when he first dressed up to pick up Alan from school with Rex. Even now, they were still giving him that look. Today he didn't go all out. He only wore a blue t-shirts, long jeans and sneaks. He didn't even apply eyeliner or lipstick. Maybe they were giving him that look because he had polished his nails.

Tristan sighed and stood beside Rex as they turned to face the old man. People were starting to gather around. Ahah, the man wanted to create a scene.

"Do you have something to say Mr Secks?" Rex asked. "Yes, why is there a dragon in our pack? Humans are barely accepted so why's a dragon here?" Old man secks said with a disgusting look, looking at Colten who had a smirk on his face. This old man was a jerk. From all the stories Tristan heard about him from Rex, he now knew Rex wasn't exaggerating.

"Mr Secks I would like you to refrain from insulting Colten here, he's the alpha's special guest after all" Rex looked seriously at John who was glaring at him. "Our pack doesn't welcome disgusting and dangerous creatures like you!! Get out of here!!" John said angrily. The five men beside him responded, saying, "Yes!! Go!! Get out of here!! Go back to your pack!!"

Colten rolled his eyes, looking like he thought they were unbelievable and annoying. "Mr Secks!! Do you know the consequences of insulting a special guest of an alpha?!!" Rex said angrily. Tristan, Roy and Colten looked at Rex with surprised looks. They had never seen Rex angry before. Wow, they better keep in mind to never anger Rex. He looked scary as fuck!!.

"Am not afraid of you Rex" They watched as Rex and old man secks glared at each other. Tristan and the others were actually surprised to see the old man looking so fearless when Rex looked scary as fuck. Tristan could say, Old man secks was the only one who looked like he didn't fear Rex but his other friends, they looked like they wanted to be anywhere but there.
