My eyes didn't shift.

It stayed on them as my heart sank.

Ayden pulled out the seat for the petite yet curvy woman he was with and he smiled widely at her before sitting across her. They were tables away from us but I expected him to perceive me at least.

But he was engrossed in his conversation with the mysterious beauty.

“That’s Ayden.” Chloe let out like I haven't realized that before.

She ignored my question and didn't act like my mate was sitting in the same room with me but with a woman that wasn't me.

The woman said something and rubbed Ayden’s arm like she couldn't keep her hand to herself and Ayden didn't slap her hand away like he should have. Instead, he laughed heartily at whatever the woman was saying.

“You reek of jealousy, Zaa.” Chloe blurted, making fun of me as she didn't understand what I was going through.

“What is he doing here with another woman?” I whispered without taking my eyes off him.

Chloe replied, “I don't think you should be jealous, Zaa.
