He didn't come after me.

And from the look of things, he wasn't coming for me.

I mean, it’s been over fourteen hours since I ran out of his room in anger and pain. If he was planning to come for me, he would have. He had enough time already and my agitation was growing beyond control.

Chloe’s voice resonated, getting me out of my thought. “You have been like this all day, Zaa. Is everything alright?”

I couldn't blame my best friend for asking that question. I mean, I left the diner last night with a bright smile but now I was as moody as the word implies. I was becoming bipolar and it was all Ayden’s fault.

Yes, I was blaming him this time.

However, I said to Chloe, “It’s just PMS, Chloe. I am good.”

We just had the time to talk since we opened the diner. I still couldn't find a chef but the servers were of much help. If only they could help me organize my life and tell me why my so-called mate wouldn't want me to mark him.
