“What is that supposed to mean, Zaa?”

Chloe questioned after letting me sob to my heart's content.

I whimpered, “There was no blood on the sheets, Chloe. I didn't bleed like every other woman which makes me a liar.”

I have seen what lies could do to people. Lies could break even the strongest union and Ayden and I haven't gotten to that solid phase yet. We were just establishing our foundation for crying out loud.

“If I get you right, you are saying he deflowered you but there was no blood on the sheet and he rejected you because of that?” Chloe summarized my fear in one go and I nodded.

She gave me a criticizing look and I voiced, “I know, Chloe. I didn't mean to lie to him like that. I didn’t even know I was lying. I don’t know when or how I lost my virginity either. This is bad–”

“Will you calm down?” Chloe raised her voice and I swallowed my anxiety, knowing that she would raise her voice even higher if I failed to do as told.
