Lia:
I walked down the aisle, by myself, looking at the man who was to be my husband in the next few minutes.
His parents stood, smiling at me, clapping their hands along with the guests, believing that I was his mate. The lie that the two of us have put up to ensure that no one suspected why we were getting married. His best friend, Armando, the one person who knew of our actual plan, stood as his best man, looking at me with the best smile that he could muster.
Our marriage was nothing but a deal, one for power, and one for revenge. A plan that was written on paper, or in other words, a contract.
He was to get the power that he wanted, guaranteeing him being ‘The Alpha of Alphas’ and I, the revenge that I have been living, waiting, and counting the years to take.
Alpha Killian, the man who has killed my parents, stood among the guests, smiling as he clapped his hands along with them. Having miraculously escaped that night, the Lycan did not know of my existence, at least, not until he saw me as Alpha Ezra’s mate.
The man was still unaware of my relationship to the family. All he knew was that his rival, and partner, had found his mate and was choosing to marry her as a public figure of his businesses.
The Capo dei Capi or as the press saw him ‘the businessman’ was to be my husband, and I, his loyal wife and beauty, the love of his life, and the light of his day.
The two of us have been building this, plotting, and planning for months, and now, we both knew that it was time to take action. The Lycan was to see his hands on our hands, and his days were now to be calculated.
I smiled as I reached the Alpha. And taking my hand in his, he pulled me closer to him, letting everyone know that I was his, and his alone. He brought my hand to his lips, gently kissing my knuckles, letting everyone know that me walking down that aisle alone did not affect his ‘love’ for me.
I was a bride with no father to walk her down the aisle, but that didn’t really matter to me. I knew why I was here, and it was not to have that fairytale wedding. The last thing I cared about was marrying the Alpha, but if it ensured the power that we both needed to defeat the Lycan, then I was more than willing to go all the way.
He nodded at me, smiling in satisfaction at my appearance. I had to admit, even I was surprised at how I looked when everything was done. In truth, I did not really care how this wedding would go, and it was the Alpha’s mother, Mariana, who chose my dress for me along with Madeline, Armando’s sister. But I was glad that I ended up looking as lovely as I did. I wouldn’t have known how the night would be ending if I didn’t.
“You look beautiful.” He said, and I blushed, looking away from his eyes as the two of us knew that we were being watched and heard. He put his finger under my chin, turning my face to look at him, and I, in turn, took his hand in mine and brought it under the veil, kissing his palm, letting my lips linger there for a few seconds like he had done with me, as our vows were being said.
“Do you, Ezra D’Caprio, take Lia Elica, as your wife?”
“I do.” He said, looking me in the eye.
“And do you, Lia Elica, take Ezra D’Caprio, as your husband?”
“I do.” I said, taking a quick glance at the crowd that were watching us, ignoring the discomfort that I felt at the fact that I was being the ‘center of attention’.
“I now pronounce you husband and wife, you may kiss your bride.” Ezra removed the veil off my face and cupping my cheeks, he connected his lips with mine. I kissed him back, and smiling into the kiss, trying to make the whole thing as believable as possible.
The last thing we both needed was for anyone to suspect anything, and pulling away, he rested his forehead against mine as cheers filled our ears. The two of us breathed, and sharing a glance, our silent message was shared as we noticed Killian getting up from the crowd. He took my hands in his, and kissed both my knuckles while keeping his eyes on mine, making my cheeks redden a bit before he pulled away and straightened.
“Welcome to the family, Mrs. D’Caprio…”
Ezra:“Congratulations, Ezra.” I heard Killian say from behind me, his tone dripping with sarcasm. Lia, who was dancing with me, stiffened, and wrapping my arm around her shoulder, I squeezed it gently, wanting her to relax before turning my attention to the Lycan who was smiling at us as we turned to face him. His eyes met mine, and looking down at my arm, he raised an eyebrow but didn’t bother commenting. I knew that he, of all people, did not expect me to get married. Especially since he had asked me to marry his sister a year ago and I had rejected it, not wanting to associate with a prick like himself. And seeing as I chose to announce my ‘proposal’ to Lia around two months later, I knew that he was both surprised and annoyed because of it. But then again, we both knew that he simply wanted me to marry her to ensure that the two families were now ‘united’ by some bond. His sister, Annalise, stood by his side, looking at Lia without saying a word. I couldn’t help but notice her
Lia:I looked down at the ring in my finger as we sat in the private plane, heading back to New York City, glaring at it for a few seconds before I turned my attention to the window beside me.The wedding was at the D’Caprio Estate in Italy where the whole D’Caprio family was. It was initially supposed to be in New York City, but judging by the fact that they had their traditions of having ‘real’ weddings there, we followed them as they were. Ezra’s parents were staying back for a few days, wanting to tend to a few things. And both Armando and Madeline were going back with us.A hand on my shoulder, Ezra’s, broke my attention as he squeezed it gently. He sat on the chair in front of mine, and putting two glasses of whiskey, he pushed one toward me. I knew that he was putting on a show because Madeline and his other men were also watching, and if we were to make this work, then we were going to have to play it right. “I take it you’re trying to get me drunk tonight?” I asked, making
Ezra:“Are you sure that she would be able to get through this?” Armando asked as the two of us entered my office. Having arrived home to the Estate, Lia was upstairs in the bedroom, getting ready for the ceremony while Armando and I had work to tend to. Thankfully, she was asleep throughout most of the flight and that meant that I could get a few things done while on the way. And now, it was time to see what we missed here while we were in Italy, and though it was a needed ‘vacation’ off work, the number of things we did and people we visited and who visited us only made it a lot more exhausting. Either way, things were also done back there, and the deals that were made there made it worthwhile. “She is drawn over by revenge, and believe me, the crystal that she’s carrying with her is more dangerous than even she knows. She wants to take him down, and that is more important to me to play with.” I said, looking at Armando who shook his head at me. “Be sure to have men keeping an ey
Lia:I swayed my hips against his as the pack members clapped their hands around us.I couldn’t believe that I was doing this, but considering the fact that it was a tradition to do so, I knew better than to come, enter a pack, and try to change what they were used to. Plus, it was a lot more fun than us being at the wedding the way that we were, at least here, most of us were either drunk or literally out of it.He wrapped his arm around my waist as he grinded against me, making me feel his hardening cock, and wrapping my arm around his neck from behind, I slowed my hips, making him feel my round bum, how it twirled. He groaned, lowering his hand on my right before turning me around to face him. His eyes were dark with lust, and lifting me in his arms, I wrapped my arms around his neck and legs around his torso as he walked into the house. My heart thumped against my ribcage, and taking me to the bedroom, he kicked the door open, and walking inside, he put me down on my feet, closin
Ezra:I ran my finger over Lia’s thigh, keeping my eyes on hers as I did. She closed her eyes, falling into bliss, but it was one that I wasn’t completely sure of. I didn’t want to do this when she wasn’t ready for it, and despite knowing of its importance, a few days for her to familiarize herself wouldn’t do us much harm. She raised herself a bit, connecting her lips with mine, pulling me down over her body. She grinded against me, and I couldn’t help the low groan that vibrated from my chest. Her low moan made me growl, and pulling away to look her in the eye, she nodded, letting me know that she wanted it.I slowly pulled her panties down, and running my finger over her clit, I growled when I saw how wet she was for me. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as I slowly drew circles of eight, pulling her closer to her edge, and gripping on my bicep, she bit her bottom lip, trying to muffle her whimpers. I smirked and leaned in, connecting my lips with hers, biting her bottom li
Lia:“I am surprised to see that you’ve managed to get out of bed.” Ezra said, looking sideways at me as he saw me entering the living room. He didn’t need to really fake anything as there was no one but Armando around. The pack members were either tending to their things or most probably out by now as it was a while into noon.“Good morning to you too, Ezra.” I said, rolling my eyes at the man before taking a seat on one of the couches. He was right though, not only was I dead exhausted, I was also sore. I wasn’t even sure how I was currently walking without limping as much as I was back in the room, and considering that my muscles ached with each step that I took, I believed that my non-limp state would only be momentary.“Good afternoon, malyshka.” He corrected me. The man was wearing a white button up shirt, his first three buttons were left unbuttoned, and his sleeves rolled up, revealing his tattoos. His blue jeans made him look somewhat normal even, and had it not been for me k
Ezra:“So, how are we going to deal with Killian?”“The two of us are out for a late breakfast, and here you are, worried about Killian?” I asked, raising an eyebrow at Lia who sighed. “You need to relax, okay? We will deal with him when the time comes, but for now, we need the man alive. Killing him will be too easy, and I don’t think that you want to give him an easy death.” I took a bite of the egg that I was eating, and looked at Lia who shook her head at me. “How can you be so calm about this? I don’t know what your issue is with Killian, but…”“Sometimes, Lia, you need to learn how to be very patient with your enemy. The two of us have been rivals for years now, but having a Lycan by my side, as my partner, has always come to my benefit. For now, he will stay alive, and he will somehow suffer the consequences of his actions; but when the time is right, the man will rot in the hell that we will be creating for him.” I said, putting the fork down. Lia studied my expression for a
Lia:“So, the two of us met at a bar, got drunk, and it was happily ever after?” I asked, shaking my head at Ezra who smirked as he drove.“Well, unless it’s a bar, it’s a club, and getting drunk with a random woman at a club is not something that I do.” Ezra said, shrugging his shoulders. The two of us were planning a proper story on how we both met in case we were asked. The fact that we announced our ‘sudden’ engagement a month ago, and claimed that we’ve been dating in secret for a while was something that many found shocking, and despite his parents also being curious about it, I was thankful that they never bothered with asking too many questions.“And you would be getting drunk with a random woman at a bar?”“I would invite her for a drink, and then might get drunk with her if she’s beautiful. So, yes, that is a plausible explanation.” I couldn’t help but blush at his choice of words, and looking out the window, I had to fight back the smile that formed on my lips as my wolf gr
