Ezra:
“Are you sure that she would be able to get through this?” Armando asked as the two of us entered my office.
Having arrived home to the Estate, Lia was upstairs in the bedroom, getting ready for the ceremony while Armando and I had work to tend to.
Thankfully, she was asleep throughout most of the flight and that meant that I could get a few things done while on the way. And now, it was time to see what we missed here while we were in Italy, and though it was a needed ‘vacation’ off work, the number of things we did and people we visited and who visited us only made it a lot more exhausting. Either way, things were also done back there, and the deals that were made there made it worthwhile.
“She is drawn over by revenge, and believe me, the crystal that she’s carrying with her is more dangerous than even she knows. She wants to take him down, and that is more important to me to play with.” I said, looking at Armando who shook his head at me. “Be sure to have men keeping an eye on her where she goes. I may be her husband, and that rounds her a bit within the pack’s grounds, but we can’t keep her locked here, and I don’t want her hiding that crystal anywhere we can’t find it.”
“Yes, boss.”
“Good, now, we need to ensure that Killian is still in our palm, don’t you think?” I asked.
“With you being married to Lia, I don’t think that he would be roaming around wanting you to marry Annalise anymore. Though I don’t think that the Lycan’s little ‘princess’ liked that you are now no longer available for her.” He said, and I nodded, knowing that he was right. The look that she gave told me that she was more than just a little upset, but I doubted that she could do anything with her brother being on her tail. That is at least, if he doesn’t send her in our way, or more specifically, in Lia’s way.
“As long as we manage to keep her away from Lia, I can assume that things will be fine. For now, we only need to be concerned about planning our next moves. The two of us are going to need to appear in a few places, and Killian would be there as well, in turn, we need to ensure that he doesn’t find out who Lia is, what she has, and why the two of us got married.” I said, and Armando nodded. “And that means that she needs to learn how to control her anger.”
“I am sure that you can manage that part.” Armando teased, and I shook my head, not really sure of it. I didn’t really expect her to be as angry when she saw him at the wedding, especially considering the fact that the man had killed them when she was sixteen, and that was when she ran. She was twenty-five now, and that means that it happened nine years ago. A lot has changed in the past nine years, but it seems like her anger simply grew with her.
“As long as I can ensure that she doesn’t end up trying to kill the man while in a public event, I can assume that we will be okay. I just need to ensure that she wouldn't do it the second she catches sight of him.” I said, and Armando chuckled. I shook my head as I opened the file that I had finished reading through while in the plane. “How about we get this shit done before the ceremony tonight, yeah?”
“Yes, Alpha…”
************************************
I watched as Lia walked out of the house wearing a white knee long dress.
Madeline put a flower tiara on her head, lilies, and smiling, Lia approached me with a smile on her face. I wrapped my arm around her waist and pulled her toward the fire that we had started earlier.
The men grew excited, this being the first wedding we’ve had since my parents chose to get ‘married’ we usually settled for a simple ceremony when a couple found their mates. But that hasn’t happened in the past three years, and now considering the fact that it was their ALPHA who found his ‘mate’, it was different.
In truth, I had rejected my mate years ago, not wanting her to grow attached to a story that wasn’t real, and it wasn’t until Killian killed her when he found out about it, wanting me to marry his sister, that I regretted rejecting her. The man knew that he got on my bad side since then, but considering that I never did open the subject with him, he believed that I wasn’t aware that it was him who shot her.
“Someone is looking beautiful this evening.” I complimented. I had to make sure that everyone around us still believed that the two of us were married, and though this was our home, and the pack was MY pack, there was always a slight chance that someone could accidentally speak, or in other words, a maid here or there could hear anything. All the possibilities were there, and therefore, we chose to just keep it as it is.
“And you don’t look bad yourself, Alpha.” She said, putting her hand on my shirt, gently straightening it. I smirked and wrapped my arm around her waist as I pulled two lilies, a tradition that we had in the family. Removing two flowers from the tiara, and throwing them in the fire, the bigger the fire grew, the bigger the love. And that was why the flowers were mostly sprayed with oil.
I smirked when the fire erupted, growing bigger, and looking down at Lia, she laughed and shook her head at me.
“Well, it seems like our love would be growing ‘extra’.” I teased, looking at Madeline who smiled as she danced to the music. She approached the two of us and put her hand on my shoulder, squeezing it gently.
“I had to add extra virgin olive oil to ensure that we don’t ruin your woman’s hair, and I may have added an extra shot of it as well to ensure the big fire. Don’t worry, it’s sprayed with perfume, and lavender oil.” she said, and shaking her head, Lia laughed as we watched Maddie dance with Lorenzo, her ‘friend’, if we can call him that until now at least. She kissed his lips, and wrapping his arms around her waist, he pulled her closer, deepening the kiss, not really caring about the fact that everyone was actually watching them.
“I believe that we would start having a class on how to make children right here in front of the fire.” Lia said, raising an eyebrow at Maddie and Lorenzo who lifted her in his arms. The woman wrapped her arms and legs around him, most probably drunk with all the wine that I knew she had. “Aren’t there kids around that could see them?”
“The kids don’t come down in such ceremonies. You will be seeing them tomorrow though as I knew that most of them are curious about meeting their Luna. As for making children; don’t worry, I’ll be giving you the practical practice right after our dance.” I said, nudging her with her shoulder. “I do hope that you’re ready for the long night…”
Lia:I swayed my hips against his as the pack members clapped their hands around us.I couldn’t believe that I was doing this, but considering the fact that it was a tradition to do so, I knew better than to come, enter a pack, and try to change what they were used to. Plus, it was a lot more fun than us being at the wedding the way that we were, at least here, most of us were either drunk or literally out of it.He wrapped his arm around my waist as he grinded against me, making me feel his hardening cock, and wrapping my arm around his neck from behind, I slowed my hips, making him feel my round bum, how it twirled. He groaned, lowering his hand on my right before turning me around to face him. His eyes were dark with lust, and lifting me in his arms, I wrapped my arms around his neck and legs around his torso as he walked into the house. My heart thumped against my ribcage, and taking me to the bedroom, he kicked the door open, and walking inside, he put me down on my feet, closin
Ezra:I ran my finger over Lia’s thigh, keeping my eyes on hers as I did. She closed her eyes, falling into bliss, but it was one that I wasn’t completely sure of. I didn’t want to do this when she wasn’t ready for it, and despite knowing of its importance, a few days for her to familiarize herself wouldn’t do us much harm. She raised herself a bit, connecting her lips with mine, pulling me down over her body. She grinded against me, and I couldn’t help the low groan that vibrated from my chest. Her low moan made me growl, and pulling away to look her in the eye, she nodded, letting me know that she wanted it.I slowly pulled her panties down, and running my finger over her clit, I growled when I saw how wet she was for me. Her eyes rolled to the back of her head as I slowly drew circles of eight, pulling her closer to her edge, and gripping on my bicep, she bit her bottom lip, trying to muffle her whimpers. I smirked and leaned in, connecting my lips with hers, biting her bottom li
Lia:“I am surprised to see that you’ve managed to get out of bed.” Ezra said, looking sideways at me as he saw me entering the living room. He didn’t need to really fake anything as there was no one but Armando around. The pack members were either tending to their things or most probably out by now as it was a while into noon.“Good morning to you too, Ezra.” I said, rolling my eyes at the man before taking a seat on one of the couches. He was right though, not only was I dead exhausted, I was also sore. I wasn’t even sure how I was currently walking without limping as much as I was back in the room, and considering that my muscles ached with each step that I took, I believed that my non-limp state would only be momentary.“Good afternoon, malyshka.” He corrected me. The man was wearing a white button up shirt, his first three buttons were left unbuttoned, and his sleeves rolled up, revealing his tattoos. His blue jeans made him look somewhat normal even, and had it not been for me k
Ezra:“So, how are we going to deal with Killian?”“The two of us are out for a late breakfast, and here you are, worried about Killian?” I asked, raising an eyebrow at Lia who sighed. “You need to relax, okay? We will deal with him when the time comes, but for now, we need the man alive. Killing him will be too easy, and I don’t think that you want to give him an easy death.” I took a bite of the egg that I was eating, and looked at Lia who shook her head at me. “How can you be so calm about this? I don’t know what your issue is with Killian, but…”“Sometimes, Lia, you need to learn how to be very patient with your enemy. The two of us have been rivals for years now, but having a Lycan by my side, as my partner, has always come to my benefit. For now, he will stay alive, and he will somehow suffer the consequences of his actions; but when the time is right, the man will rot in the hell that we will be creating for him.” I said, putting the fork down. Lia studied my expression for a
Lia:“So, the two of us met at a bar, got drunk, and it was happily ever after?” I asked, shaking my head at Ezra who smirked as he drove.“Well, unless it’s a bar, it’s a club, and getting drunk with a random woman at a club is not something that I do.” Ezra said, shrugging his shoulders. The two of us were planning a proper story on how we both met in case we were asked. The fact that we announced our ‘sudden’ engagement a month ago, and claimed that we’ve been dating in secret for a while was something that many found shocking, and despite his parents also being curious about it, I was thankful that they never bothered with asking too many questions.“And you would be getting drunk with a random woman at a bar?”“I would invite her for a drink, and then might get drunk with her if she’s beautiful. So, yes, that is a plausible explanation.” I couldn’t help but blush at his choice of words, and looking out the window, I had to fight back the smile that formed on my lips as my wolf gr
Ezra:I walked out of the elevator to see Armando waiting for me in the lobby. The two of us had a meeting to attend, and we usually tended to enter together. Me, being boss, and him, my best friend and right hand. It was a protocol that we silently founded. It was how we grew, and how everyone around us saw us living, and thankfully, we both never wanted that to change. It was a blessing that we were both grateful for.“Any luck?” I asked, not bothering to greet the man. He knew that it wasn’t needed, especially considering the fact that we were together a while before I left. He shook his head, and I had to fight back a growl of annoyance, knowing that humans were around as I waited for what he had to say.“We searched the whole room. The only place we couldn’t unlock, is her jewelry box. The woman either has the crystal with her, or she’s keeping it inside that thing.” Armando answered, making me curse under my breath. “And before you ask, we did try to unlock the box, only it’s lo
Lia: We entered the dark room of lasers and music. The disco light was what illuminated the area, along with a few spotlights here and there and the DJ who was dancing like there was no tomorrow. Girls danced by the door, bouncers watched as they made sure that no one who was underage entered. The smells of alcohol, cigarettes, drugs, sex, and sweat filled the air. Music blasted through the gates as we walked through an empty hall before taking a turn where instead of bouncers, there were bodyguards standing. They nodded at Ezra before allowing us to pass, knowing that he was their boss. And walking up the stairs, the two of us were well aware that we were the center of attention of most of those who were around. The music wasn’t as loud at the VVIP lounge, thankfully, otherwise, I knew that I would have gotten a headache afterwards, especially since I knew that I was going to be required to stay on the same table as Killian. Had it been a different situation, I would have been
Ezra: I looked at Lia who was starting to interact with the other women. The women stared at her, clearly jealous of her behavior, and how I treated her. It was something that each one of them wanted with her husband but couldn’t have. It was something that I gave Lia simply because I wanted to prove a point, and moreover, I knew that I was times and times stronger than she will ever be; therefore, taking that to my advantage would not make me the man that I want to be. “You seem to be giving your wife a little too much freedom for a woman that you barely met months ago, not to mention the fact that you just married her.” Leon, one of my partners, started, raising an eyebrow at me. I rolled my eyes and took a sip of my scotch before looking him dead in the eye. “I do not think that it concerns you, does it?” I asked, waiting for him to say anything against that. The man shied back in his seat, and nodding, I turned to look at the men who were currently enjoying themselves. The wo
His eyes widened as they suddenly opened, his heart beating for the first time in weeks. That out of breath heavy one. One that he did not expect. His eyes searched around the tomb that he was in. Trying to process how he had gotten in here in the first place before his memory played back. The man had died. He was killed. He had kicked twice, but he didn’t open. Therefore, he chose to break it, punching it with a force that had it crashing on top of him. Sand fell on the man, but he didn’t care. He dug himself out, fearing that he was dead inside a tomb. In reality, he was. But he was yet to process that he came back from life, he came back from a different world, and that was something that was going to change a lot in him. He growled, getting out of the hole that he was in, taking a deep breath as he inhaled his oxygen. People who were around him, watching the scene, having initially come to visit their loved ones tried to flee. However, he didn’t really care. He stood up tryin
Ezra:“I didn’t want to speak in front of Lia, but what the hell happened?” I asked, frowning at my brother as we entered my office. We were back at New York’s Estate. However, I still couldn’t understand everything that we have lived through back at Rome, literally nothing made sense and that was something that I was well aware of. I didn’t even need to explain how wrong everything was to my brother, the man already knew.“I have no idea. But whatever it is, I really don’t know how this is going to lead us. Why did he drag us all the way to Rome when he could have killed her here?” Alvize asked, frowning in confusion. He was right, the two of us couldn’t understand anything that happened. Mom didn’t know what happened just yet, but I knew that when she heard, she was not going to be happy about it. I still didn’t even know how we were going to deal with Andromeda. The demon was going to put us through hell for this. And we weren’t even the reason behind her daughter’s death, but how
Lia: I looked at the woman, Annalise, who stood in front of us, shifted to a complete wolf. However she had done it. I don’t know, but I assumed that she had shifted before the moon rose. Regardless of what we told her and the facts that she knew, the woman didn’t seem to care. She was determined to lose her life here and now, and that was not something that we could allow. We at least needed this night to end without problems. Annalise had completely lost her mind, and that was something that I was sure of. Killian looked at the two of us, smirking as he watched his sister approaching. Alvize wrapped his arm around me and pulled me back from the two Lycans, not wanting me to get hurt. I knew that he needed me alive. I had to be the one to kill Killian. The blade was with me and not with Ezra, but that didn’t mean that they wouldn’t hurt my husband and that was not something that I wanted. “You heard me, Ezra D’Caprio.” Annalise said, threatening my husband. I looked at Ezra, wait
EzraMy wife and I ran through the hallways of the house. This mansion was huge, and needless to say, I understood what she meant by every single door here was named after her. She didn’t only mean that garden store, literally every single door was named after her. Most of the doors were locked, and only unlocked when we said Annalise. Either Killian was obsessed with the woman, or someone else had bought the house, and knowing Killian, I was sure that it wasn’t him that wanted every door to be named after the woman. The man proved to everyone that he did not like the woman. If anything, he has always tried to get rid of her, either by getting her married or by sending her on a mission that would kill her. The last of them was him knowing that she was within a relationship with the demon and yet not stopping it. How he had known and had the heart for it, I didn’t understand. However, I didn’t bother questioning it. At this point, all common sense wasn’t real, and if anything, I doubt
Lia:I had to fight the urge to snap the man’s neck as I glared at him. I knew that it wouldn’t help me. The man needed to be stabbed in the heart. Making sure that he took his last breath. It was the only way that he would die. A blade in the heart. While looking him in the eye, making sure that it was deep enough for him to die.Annalise took a slow step back. Trying to flee my anger, however, I simply laughed, mocking her as my husband stood by my side. He wrapped his arm around my waist as he pulled me closer, making sure to keep his eyes on the Lycans who were afraid. “Now, you know that we couldn’t do anything and that the two of us were weak. The two of us were nothing.” I said, recalling the Lycan’s insulting words when he had me captive in his house. It was something that I wouldn’t forget or forgive him for. The pain and anger that I have lived through was one that would forever be stuck in my head. “Yeah, how many words have you said so far?”I knew that I was taunting the
EzraI stayed quiet for a few seconds as I looked at the doors that opened, revealing the mansion that we were going to enter. Annalise let out a sigh of relief, clearly happy that we had arrived ‘safely’. She didn’t know the consequences that came with this arrival.Though they were unaware of our hands and my feet being free, the two of us stayed completely still, not wanting them to find out just yet. Things needed to take time, however this time was not on our side, we needed to work fast. It was the night where everything was going to end. Otherwise it was as though going to end.“Get them out.” Annalise said, glaring at the men. Her orders towards the men made them flinch. However, they did not dare to object as they opened the door for us. I stayed still, looking at the woman, watching as the men approached us. My wife’s expression was calm, and I knew that it was something that somewhat frightened the men and the Lycan who stood in front of us. The last thing she expected was
Lia: I sat in back of the truck, looking at my husband’s reflection as he smirked. Having just arrived in Rome, the woman was taking us to the Estate, at least, I think that it was one, for all of this to end. Ezra and I shifted the other night in the plane, leading the cabin crew, Annalise, and three of her brother’s men to be afraid of us. They had to put us to sleep to ensure that we didn’t kill them. Flashback: My body forced me to shift as the full moon rose in the sky. Though we were in the plane, our wolves could feel the rise of the moon, so we shifted. “What the fuck is going on?” Annalise asked, hearing our growls as she walked toward the compartment that we were in. I looked at my husband who nodded before the two of us got ready in the shadow. “What the fuck are the two of you going on about? You are already fed…” Ezra jumped on the woman first causing her to stumble back before I went to grab her arm. A man tried attacking me; however, I jumped on his arm, biting
Ezra: “What the fuck do you mean by the man left to Rome?” I asked, glaring at Francesco who looked down at his feet, avoiding my eyes, clearly wanting to run away from it. I knew that the last thing he needed was to get in the middle of this. The man was assigned to make sure that Killian didn’t even reach the airport; therefore for him to just easily escape, now that was something that I couldn’t understand. “Boss…” “Do not ‘boss’ me. I want direct responses. YOU, Bruno, and Valdez were assigned to…” “He killed them, Alpha.” He said, making me frown before the smell of blood filled my nostrils as he raised his shirt and bandage. Lia gasped, and I knew that she wasn’t looking at me or Francesco, her face wasn’t even directed at us. “Ezra…” “Not now, Lia.” I said, rushing to the man’s side. I wrapped my arm around the man, noticing that his intestines were showing. However he made it here, I didn’t know, but I didn’t intend on asking to find out. “Ezra!” Lia snapped, making me f
Lia:I watched as Ezra walked out of the basement where the cells were and frowned when I saw his anger in his eyes.Donatello, who was standing beside me, shook his head, motioning for me not to interfere.I knew that the man would need a little time to process what happened, and though I knew that he wouldn’t be taking it as easy as one, two, and three. He needed time to allow himself to digest everything that he has been going through, and to begin with, he needed time to actually think straight.“Donatello, I can’t just leave him to handle this on his own.” I said, looking at the man who shook his head at me.“For now, he needs to process what has happened. I know that it would be hard for you to leave him alone in this state. Especially as his mate, you would be finding the urge to want to go to him. But he needs to be able to think straight before the two of you can talk.” He said, and despite the pain that I felt at knowing that my mate was hurt, I was forced to stand still. Hi
