So Many Possibilities

Mallory’s POV

Everything was going great. He had to ruin it. Now I locked myself in my room after what happened earlier.

I hate this. I hate him. Because no matter what I fucking do, it’s still him.

My heart still races whenever I see him and it’s not supposed to be like that.

I was so glad when I saw him earlier and brought me flowers but when I saw what the flowers was.

My heart broke again. He still doesn’t get it, he still breaks me. He still manages to make my heart race and break it at the same time.

Is that even possible?

Then suddenly my thoughts are disturbed by a knock on my door.

“Come in!” I shout sounding as normal as possible, and wiped away my tears.

“Hey.” Jack says entering my room.

“What’s up?” I ask him.

“Just checking up on my sister. Is it wrong?”

I smile. “I’m fine.”

“It doesn’t seem like it.” He says sighing and placing both hands in his pockets.

“He doesn’t love me. He didn’t love me. You all said the mate thing is a wonderful thing and you saw that before with mom and dad, but why is this such a cruel thing to me?”

“Honestly, I don’t understand either. And I wish we could’ve done something for you not to get hurt like this.”

I shake my head “This mate thing maybe is working on me and I hate it. Because no matter what I fucking do, or no matter how bad he hurts me, it’s still him that I want. And I hate it. I hate him. I hate Madeline.”

“And I’m sorry for not being able to do anything. It’s not against the human law but it’s against the wolf law. It is bad enough that we kept the idea that you’re alive, and we have to face the Elder’s next week.”

“With him?”

He nods. “But not with you. You technically don’t know what was happening and still happening and I or we like to stay that way. But sooner or later this has to come out because you are still his Luna.”

“I understand but you have to tell them that good for nothing mate of mine is the reason why I am in this state and why my baby died, the heir to his pack died. I want him to regret everything he did, I want him to suffer the way that I did.” I say gritted teeth with tears falling from my eyes.

This is my revenge. And no one can stop me.

Few days later.

“When do you plan to tell the truth?” Nathan asks as I scroll through some papers for the company.

“Who told you that I’m planning to?” I ask.

“I know you’re mad and all because believe me I am too but no matter how mad you are lying is till not an option, specially when…” I cut him off before he could finish what he was about to say because believe me, I don’t want to hear anything about how he deserves to know shit “Nathan.” I say looking at him seriously “I plan to reveal the truth after I play with them. For now you just have to support me. Got that?”

I say. Because He’s my friend, he knows how painful everything is for me and he should Understand. And If not, I don’t care. The door is open.

Like I said nothing or no one can stop me until they all fucking suffer. Specially those two, Madeline and Helios.

“Okay Mal. Anyway, do you want anything for lunch?” He asks changing the subject.

“You know what I like.”

He stood up “I’ll go get it for you.”

“You don’t have to. You can ask anyone or my personal assistant to get it for us.”

He shakes his head “No. You have a kitchen here. Plus I have been learning on how to cook it for you.” He says winking at me and I laugh.

“Fine. Hurry then, I’m famished.” I say and he salutes which caused me to laugh shaking my head.

Then my phone rang, it’s Jack.

“Jack?”

“The elders have decided.”

I swallowed a lump in my throat.

“Hmmm?” I ask. Too nervous to even say a word.

“Me and Dad….” He sighed “we’re coming” he says and drops the call.

That was not a good sign.

“Helios is coming here.” Ben suddenly burst through my door. My eyes widen.

“I fucking knew it.” I say, the moment I felt something was wrong with Jack. I knew the decision was not in favor of me.

“Just….relax. And just try to be shocked. Act. I mean.” Ben says and I nod. I know the drill.

A few minutes later, he arrived.

He is Smiling like an idiot and I roll my eyes. Then he confidently sat down, as if on queue, Nathan arrives with a plate of food.

“Here you go, My dearest Mal.” He says and I smile but then Helios cleared his throat.

“Oh.” Nathan just says.

“It’s okay. Thank you though, this looks so good.”

“You should eat, you haven’t eaten dinner and breakfast. This lunch should be eaten, Mal.” Nathan scolds and I jokingly roll my eyes at him.

“What? You didn’t eat?” My Dad suddenly says arriving with my brother and he looks at my brother accusingly.

“I didn’t know that.” He says defensively.

“Yeah and you should’ve! You’re supposed to take good care of her.” My dad says.

“Dad it’s okay, I was just not in the mood to eat.”

“Well Nathan seems to make you eat. Maybe he should always be the one preparing the food for you.” My dad says.

And I was about to say something but Nathan answered.

“I would love to cook for you.” He says and I smiled.

“Anyway, how did you even hear that I didn’t eat from far away?” I ask, pretending not to know anything.

“That’s why we’re here today. To explain.” Helios says.

“I honestly forgot for a minute that he’s here.” I say in a whisper.

“Shall we?” He says.

And the first next words he said, was not in the plan.
