Chapter 47

Signe POV

The car ride back to the pack house is a quiet one, giving me plenty more time to think about what had happened with Asher and Ian. Mainly Ian.

He called me Siggy. Only one person has referred to me that way since my arrival. As much as I don't want it to be true, I need to confront Alex about this. I don't want to believe that Alex would do that to Asher. But why else would Ian refer to me as Siggy, when he knows that my name is Signe.

We park in front of the pack house and Asher gets out of the car without a word. I open my door before his warrior has the opportunity to do so and move around the car quickly to catch up with Asher.

"Alpha?" I say quietly, hoping he won't hear me or that he will ignore me and keep walking. I'm losing my resolve for my earlier plans now that my anger is beginning to subside due to my concern about Alex.

He stops and turns to face me. "Yes?"
