The rest of the week played out in a hyper manner. Aside from the occasional annoying statements and attitude from Anette the rest of the week was filled with lots of fun, dancing, food and friendship. It was finally time for both of them to be joined in holy matrimony. "I can't believe the week is over in such a hurry" Jeanne said while putting the final touches on her makeup."I know right?" Aletta said sitting behind her."Aren't you going to put on any makeup?" Jeanne asked trying to catch a glimpse of her face from the mirror."No, I am not a fan," Aletta said in a dismissing tone."Come on I will make it as natural as possible" Jeanne said trying her best to convince her."I will most likely be uncomfortable all day if I put it on" she explains."I will make it as minimal as possible" she said walking to her and bending down to her ear level. They were alone in their room as Needa had told them to get ready and meet her in hers. "And I am sure my brother would be impressed to s
"Let's go or else we might be late to join the bridal train" Aletta said putting all she needed into her small purse."Aren't you going to take pictures?" Jeanne asked taking up her purse and stuffing an unhealthy amount of things she would most likely not need. Aletta shrugged in response. She had no issues with taking pictures while she believed she was not model-like gorgeous she knew she still had a kind of beauty that was acceptable "Should I take some for you?" Jeanne asked hanging the bag on her shoulder by the long bag hand and taking out her phone to help her take some pictures."Strike a pose" Jeanne said trying to encourage her."I should take some of you too, you might want to post some of them later," Aletta said taking out her phone too."Yeah, I might do that" Jeanne replied taking as many poses in a minute as she could do."That is it, let's go now" Aletta said slipping her phone back into her bag."One last one" Jeanne said turning the camera so they could take a sel
Needa's walk down the aisle brought tears down the faces of many people as it was a joyous moment. She had decided to walk solo since she had no family of her own.The vows were said and everyone was ushered to the reception where there was a lot of drinking dancing and eating too. "I love parties" Jeanne said as they sat at their table. The bridesmaid had been given their own table together with the groomsmen, Andrew and Joshua. They had to sit together."Same here" Anette said taking her cup to her mouth.Joshua kept glancing at Aletta as he could not keep her eyes off her. She gave him questioning looks but he shrugged off with a shoulder shrug each time. she was afraid that someone would see him and suspect them."Excuse me, I want to use the ladies and make a quick call" Aletta lied. She did not want to do any of those things but she wanted to peel the lingering gaze of Joshua off from her. She cleared her throat and pushed herself off the chair. she walked to the back of the ha
"There you are what took you so long?" Joshua whispered to Aletta as she walked to their newfound hiding spot."I was at the ladies" she said going to stand beside him." And I did not want anyone to catch us so I came a little later" she added and he nodded."You seem very knowledgeable about hiding to date" he said and her head whipped to him in confusion."What do you mean?" she asked folding her hands across her chest."I mean that you always know what to do to ensure we aren't caught. it's like you have had experience before" "You know what? Now that you mention it I remember that I have experienced such a thing before" she said with a smirk."What?" he stuttered confused."I think it was my first love," she said fondly as if she was reminiscing about it. "What was his name?" she asked stroking her chin."Aletta" he stuttered again and she gained more confidence to tease him."Yeah his name was Sebastian, we had to play hide and seek while we dated. I mean we were high school stu
Aletta tried to match his step but she decided against it as he was fast and not even looking back. If she were to tell the tales of all the sweet things he had done no one would believe her.Now that she thought about it he had never been so difficult to work with in the past aside from the fact that he was a perfectionist and she was also a perfectionist so she did not see anything wrong there. If she asked most girls she was sure that they would be unable to say why they all referred to him as a rude and domineering bachelor. Most of them never met him before and he was quite the opposite of everything they said.He was a true gentleman and seeing him now she was sure that those people just labelled him because of his status in society. Aletta somehow made it just in time for the bouquet throwing and Jeanne hurried to drag her to the front."Ensure you get the bouquet" she whispered to her ears."Why?" Aletta asked with a shocked expression. She never expressed the intent to marry
"Catch that flower okay? I will tell Needa to throw it in your direction" Jeanne said squeezing the hands of Aletta before she walked away. She was not sure if marriage was in the books for her. She had been sure before but with the turn of events, she did not know anymore. At least she was still dating him so there was no way she would allow Anette to propose to him just yet. He could have her chance if they broke up."The bride would throw the bouquet now," the MC said and everyone in the hall cheered.Maybe this was one of the perks and fun parts about coming to a wedding. All the young ladies lined up behind the bride as they were directed by the ushers. Needa threw a wink and a small smile to Aletta and she knew that Jeanne had helped to alert Needa of the bouquet.Anette saw the interaction and quickly knew that they were trying their best to transfer the bouquet between each other. she had noticed that Needa had seemed closer to Jeanne and Aletta all week long. She did not car
"Why is this such a big of a deal?" Xavier asked folding his hand across his chest as he accessed the people sitting with him in the room."Needa is supposed to be closer to Anette. How could she throw Aletta the bouquet instead?" Leslie added.Xavier wondered why they had to gather together to discuss that matter. The newlyweds had made their way to their honeymoon destinations so why was it such a big deal who got the flowers?"My little girl is sad now" Leslie said causing everyone to have compassion on the girl. The youngsters were yet to come back as they were still having a nice time at the venue but Anette had made sure to convey her displeasure about the situation to her mom."Why exactly is this such a big deal" Burke asked. He loved his children but he never understood why Leslie spoiled them so much.Needa did not hand the bouquet to Aletta. She threw it and the girl happened to catch it so they all did not understand what was so special about catching a bouquet. "It's jus
"Why would she say that?" Joshua repeated. Standing behind and beside him were Aletta, Anette, Andrew and Jeanne.Anette felt second-hand embarrassment as she wanted the ground to swallow her whole right there and then. She had asked her mom to convince them so she could have Joshua to herself."Mom!!!" Anette screamed stomping her feet to the ground. "When did I say that?" she asked in a scream. She did not want to be seen as someone dubious in the eyes of the people sitting there."Honey" Leslie said shocked at the reaction from her daughter. She was trying to help her out so why was she overreacting? "I only said I don't think it's serious," Anette said. She knew that her mom was on her side there was no way she could ditch her entirely."Yes, that's what I said," Leslie said in swift response."I just want to let you know that I am in a relationship and it is a serious relationship at that" he told them his jaw tense."You might be in a serious relationship now but that does not
