Chapter three

It's been three weeks since I last saw my father, I made sure to avoid him and my brothers. 

 Today was a mating festival in my pack, it was a special day where all mated folks come together and do what I can't explain, I always hated this festival because of the cleanup that comes after that. 

It was not normal day, we were even given water to bath which rarely happens and new clothes to change into. Before I forget the most important information, it's also a day were unmated ladies are forcefully mated by some spoilt brat, each year we always had victims and today would definitely not be different. I took my bath quickly, washed my hair with soap, I didn't want to offend any of the pack members especially my father. I wore my gown which was slightly seductive but I didn't bother my looks were not that much and my body figure was well hidden in that hideous gowns,I had a small boobs, so I had nothing to show. I finished quickly and rushed to meet up with Julia. Julia for sure was looking all cleaned up, we hurried out to our duty post, we were shared into section, I was in the section of serving drink while Julia was searching snacks, when they were all settled, I was signaled to bring the drink in, I walked as carefully as I could, the excessive kissing and cuddling was everywhere, I could smell their arousals which was making me nauseous, then my worst nightmare happened, I mistakenly stepped on my gown causing me to trip and spill the drinks can today get any worst than this, I raised my head to see my father's glaring eyes, the worst of it all was that the drink landed on Beta Dina, my supposed future step mum. Before I could say I word I felt a hand forcefully yanked  me by my hair, I turned around, it was Derrick my brother, I tried releasing myself but my Omega power is nothing to be compared with that of a beta, as he dragged me I could feel my skin bruising at it's contact to the bare floor, my father followed afterwards, he dragged me to the pack training ground, I knew It would only be the moon goddess that would save me from their hands, nobody bothered to save me, I was an ordinary omega after All my death won't be noticed. I was already pleading for him to let me go, he started beating me as usual, he kept kicking my tummy if I was a human I would lost a rib or two, I was bleeding all over by the time he was finished, I thought that was all until my dad joined him, he dragged me to the nearest dirty water and made sure I had a full cup of it by pushing my hair inside the water, I was struggling to breathe, I begged for death but it didn't come.

" you fool, you are an abomination, you can't even do anything right even carrying a drink, you don't deserve to live, I can't believe my precious mate died protecting an Omega like you" my father spat, I couldn't count how many bones must have broken at this point, I just left myself at the mercy of their hands, the continued beating me till I passed out.

" Amelia Amelia can you hear me" I heard a familiar voice I could place the voice, I tried opening my eye but everything was blur.

" Shit!" I screamed as water touched me, if I am not wrong a full bucket, I opened my eyes immediately to see Nana our head omega and Julia, it have been her voice I heard.

" Are you okay Amelia?" Julia asked, I just managed to nod.

" Amelia, get your ass off the floor and go take care of yourself, you are on night duty today at the west zone, that's your punishment for your little drama" Nana spat and walked away angrily, are this people even human I thought to myself, I couldn't even move my body, Julia gave me a hand and I leaped all the way to my basement, all I could do was lay down since I had like three hours till my night shift, I could hear my father cursing from upstairs, thanks to the door that led straight to the basement I didn't bother meeting them. Julia managed to apply a little balm before returning to her duty post, I cried all through with pains and all I felt, I know you might be wondering why I haven't healed well, I am an omega, for sure  it would take a while to heal. 

My father's words kept ringing in my ears, i had stopped blaming myself for my mum's death, maybe if I had stayed back in my room that rogue wouldn't have attacked me and my mother wouldn't have fought him to the the point of death, sometimes I just feel like the punishments I get was well deserved, I wonder why I was not dead yet but it's well, it's my fate and I have come to accept it.

  i rested for sometime before heading out for the night duty, the west zone was known to be very cold and hungry males, I looked around for extra piece of clothing but I didn't see any, I had to take my bed spread with me. I mind linked Julia that I had left, I got there it was very lonely and cold but I didn't bother it would be nice to die out here, I could escape this world of wickedness. I was about dozing off when I felt a hand grab me, I turned it was Dennis, my brothers best friend.

" Dennis what's wrong and what are you doing here" I asked inquisitively, I had known Dennis since childhood and he always had this thing for me, he almost raped when I was fifteen and when I reported I was beaten to pub, so what the hell is he doing here.

"Amelia honey! I can help you, you know" he said flirtatiously

" how?" I asked.

"accept my offer, I promise you no body would ever touch your beautiful body ever again, he said leaning in for a kiss, I pushed him and stood up.

" it's better I die in their hands than give my body to you" I spat angrily

Before I could say any other word, he pinned me back to the ground and tried doing what he almost did three years back, I would rather die than let that happen, I felt a surge of strength build up in me, I pushed him as hard I could, I managed to push him away, he came closer again, I picked up the. nearest stick and hit him with it, with that I ran as fast as could back to my basement awaiting tomorrow's punishment.
