Chapter four

As I entered my room I knew tomorrow would be my worst nightmare, I creeped under my bed spread shivering from the cold and fear I felt at the moment with thoughts running through my mind, " what if I had injured him" that would be worse, I even went ahead to imagine Dennis being good and not reporting but I knew it was just mare wishes, since I reported him few years ago, he didn't miss any opportunity to taunt me and this right here is the biggest opportunity considering his father is my father's best friend.

  I don't know how I fell asleep but I finally slept but was awoken by the banging on my door, my eyes flew open, I knew it was not Julia, Julia would never bang on my door, I waited for sometime the banging still continued, if I kept silence any longer I might lose my door. I prepared myself emotionally, and opened the door, I saw the glaring eyes of my father and the wicked smile of Dennis as the Pack guards dragged me out, I was taken to the council where I would be judged, I don't know why they even bothered going to the council to judge me when they fully know it would never be on my favor. I sat down with sets of glaring eyes staring at me especially that of my father and brother.

" we are here to try Amelia the daughter of beta Jonathan, Amelia do you know what your offense is?" a bald headed man asked,oh I am still considered his daughter, wonderful! I didn't have any offense, I didn't do anything but I couldn't say that aloud, I just replied " No sir"

" Well since Amelia claims she doesn't know of her offense, please Beta Dennis help her remember" the bald headed man said, Dennis giving me a smirk before standing up

" Thanks  for holding this trial, and being partial about it, well yesterday I was roaming around the west zone when I caught this Omega frolicking with one of the guards whom I won't mention, immediately they noticed my presence, the guard ran away, I didn't like what I saw,I decided to advice on not wasting her life just because of she was an omega but instead of thanking me,she used a big stick to hit me, causing me to blackout, if I wasn't a Beta I would have bled to death, so council members what did I do wrong" Dennis said, giving them the innocent look.

I couldn't believe my ears, what did I just hear, I wasn't expecting him to tell the truth but I never expected he would go as far as putting such allegations on me. By now my father eye was ready to kill me but I didn't mind, if today would be my death why don't I accept it with open arms.

" so Omega Amelia you have finally known your crime" the bald man asked angrily, I couldn't accept defeat, even if I am to die now, I might as well defend myself.

" Sir I beg to say my own side of the story before being labelled the offender, there was some protesting on not allowing me to speak but the bald man decided to let me talk so the judgement would not look partial,even though I knew it was a facade I went ahead to speak my mind.

"yesterday I was on night duty in the west zone, when I got there I was alone, I decided to rest for sometime when a hand grabbed me, I looked up and saw Dennis, he promised to help me if I become his woman but I declined his offer and he almost raped me, I only freed myself after I used the stick on him, what crime did I commit?" I said with boldness, though I knew no one would believe me but I loved the reactions I was getting.

" so Omega Amelia you are trying to Say Beta Dennis tried to rape you and retaliated by using the stick on him" the bald man asked, I nodded in response

" I don't mean to offend you Omega Amelia, but Beta Dennis here, has lots of ladies at his disposable, when I say ladies, I mean pretty ones, so why would he go as far as raping a slave like you" a man with grey hair and scattered moustache said. The council members nodded in approval.

" Have you looked at yourself in the mirror, even the blind would never attempt to rape you, talk more of Beta Dennis" the only woman in their mist said. Dennis smiling sheepishly at the backup he was getting

" so do you have any witness" he asked, 

" none sir, I was alone remember" I answered

" what of you Mr Dennis do you have any witness" he asked Dennis, I smirked as I knew no witness because his story never happened, I was shocked to my spine when he nodded and went outside to get the witness, it was Guard Hillary, we barely know each other and I don't remember seeing him near the west zone.

" So Mr Dennis is this your witness?" he asked Dennis, which Dennis replied by nodding.

" So guard hmm" he said in an attempt to remember his name

" Sir it's Hillary" the guard replied

" okay Guard Hillary, what do you have to say, tell is everything that happened yesterday" the bald man concluded before sitting down

" The council, Amelia always had eyes for me but I didn't give her an opportunity, so yesterday I came across the west zone to check out the fences when I see Amelia, she seduced and I fell for it, you know yesterday was the mating festival, it was quite impossible to overcome such temptation, we were making out when beta Dennis caught us, I ran away in fear but didn't run too far because my head lamp was still in the west zone, when I came back to get it, I saw Beta Dennis lying on the ground, I had quickly help him to the Infirmary" the guard blurted out. when the hell is happening, is this a set up? or something, how come someone I never knew or spoke to, I knew I was damned and no matter what I say, I would never be vindicated. I could see Dennis satisfactory smile.

" Guard Hillary you can go, two hundred pushups for messing around on duty, so council members we have heard from both sides and from the witness, so who is the guilty one" the bald man asked, there was some whispering before the bald man finally stood up.

" Omega Amelia you are hereby guilty of hitting a Beta for no just cause and guilty of messing around with someone that is not your mate, I would leave your punishment to your father" the bald man said before leaving the room, tears rolled down my cheeks as I watched them walk out individually leaving my father, my brother and that Monster Dennis.
