Chapter Sixty seven

ALEXANDER'S POV

We drove past a lot of markets, bazaars, and shopping complexes at the normal hour of the day. It would take a person even on a two-wheeler at least 20 minutes or even more to drive past these areas. The traffic was beginning to form for the day. At 7:30 a.m. there is a quietness prevailing in the entire area. Two or more street dogs can be seen near the garbage heaps looking for crumbs thrown by the people the night before. One or two auto rickshaw auto rickshaws flying on the road.

It seems people traveling by rail or bus have moved out early from their houses to catch their transport well in time. Near a crossing, we were lucky to escape colliding with a car moving at breakneck speed. I was sitting at the back of my car as usual.

Suddenly the driver screeched behind us. He swerved the car to his left and missed hitting us by a few inches. I yelled a few mouthful of obs mouthfuls at him and at the same time thanked God that I was safe. The hospital was just around
