Chapter Seventy Three

ALEXANDER'S POV

As we waited for the person to come in. I looked straight at the door with my eyes shining as bright as a new fire burning in the summer.

It took a deep relieving breath when the person finally walked in.

"Mom". I called out and got up almost immediately.

"What are you doing here?" I asked as I motioned to meet her.

"Am I no longer welcome here too?" She asked to study everyone's faces. I blinked and twinkled the corner of my eye at her. It was a signal to let her know our matters and the rift between us at home shouldn't be discussed before our associates. She got the sign as usual

"I didn't mean it that way, I mean you should have called.

"This is my company too" she reminded me as if I was some new staff member. I acted like we were cool and nothing ever happened between us a few days ago.

"Gentlemen, she greeted the other men seated after she had acted like no one else existed in the room except me.

"You're welcome, Mrs. Stone. They said in unison.
