Chapter Seventy One

HELENA'S POV

I watched him flounce himself upstairs. I had the conviction to follow him but dismissed the thought and obeyed as he had said. I quickly picked up the bag he had dumped on the ground and packed up the items that had fallen out as he angrily threw the bag down.

"My Steak," I said when I found it in the other bag. I sighed letting out deep relieving breaths and went over to the couch and sat.

This was my time to enjoy myself. I also needed to be left alone. Nobody's anger was going to get to me. I had promised myself a few months ago and I wasn't willing to break that promise to myself. He was angry at whoever.

I didn't care but why would he vent it on me? I pondered the reason for his anger and added one or two sentences from what I could make out of the words he spoke before he snapped. I quickly opened the steak and began to dig from it. Just the perfect taste as I wanted it. I had gotten so engrossed in my food that I was almost unconscious of my environment. The c
