Marina's POV
I needed to run, and fast. Sure my hair was shorter and even in a different colour, but you'll surely recognize who you fuck, won't you?
It was a give and take fuck, a hate sex so I'm pretty sure he thought about me often. Now he would probably catch me here, wonder why I'm here and when he finds out, I'll get killed.
“I told you not to let someone in when I'm not here. Where is the new recruit?”
His voice sliced through my thoughts and I jerked a bit and swallowed a lump in my throat. I began to shake nervously as he approached. I guess I haven't been hearing what he has been saying since he arrived because I was deep in thought.
The whole den fell silent as his shoes blessed each ground he walked on towards me. Oliver practically stiffened. I was so scared because there was no way he wouldn't recognize me.
Would he kill me now, just like he killed my mom or would he take me to a cell to beat me up first?
Beats of sweat formed on my forehead in an instant and I felt myself grow smaller than I already was, under the weight of each stare as their eyes were now on me. I gulped again, he was so close.
I was already dead, and I barely achieved anything I wanted to do. I'm a failure.
Finally, darkness clouded my vision as he stood in front of me.
“Open your eyes.”
I didn't even realize they were closed and my teeth dug into my mouth simultaneously to bite back any hint of fear.
When I opened them up, everything was almost pitch black. Everything he had on was black from head to toe and with his close proximity, it was hard to see anything past him.
“Hmm, you're petite. Do you think you're strong enough to work here? We don't do any subpar jobs.” His American accent was thick and smooth, sleek too. It was hard to believe he was the same man that I slept with when he was looking at me like this, like he wasn't impressed with me.
“Yes, yes captain. I can work here perfectly.” I pleaded with my voice, assuring him. I couldn't even look him in the face. I couldn't leave now, not when I had my mother's death to avenge, except of course he recognized me first.
“Look at me when I'm talking to you. What's your name?” His voice was sharp like he was annoyed and impatient.
The second I nervously raised up my head, my eyes crashed with his beautiful, dark brown ones. They looked like dark chocolate, so inviting, so sinful.
I stuttered as I replied, lost in his gaze, expecting him to say something in recognition any second now, but his eyes gave nothing away. Nothing changed.
“M-my name is Sergey.” I said breathlessly, my heart practically leaping out of my chest.
“Sergey.” He repeated thoughtfully, his eyes scanning my build.
“This won't do.” He grabbed my chin with his hand and examined my face. I stilled. Has he finally caught me? His eyes bore into mine and I couldn't look away. Just when I thought I finally got caught, he let go of me and walked away.
He didn't catch me then? I heaved a sigh of relief, the once heavy air now so light I could breathe properly. Oliver ruffled my hair like I was his younger brother.
“Welcome officially!”
“Thank you.” I said using my deepest voice. But worry lines were still visible on my forehead. I was still deeply worried.
I watched my enemy walk out of the den with another guy from the den. I guess that one was reporting recent updates to him. Still, did he recognize me? Was he pretending not to? Was he planning to sneak up on me when I'm unaware to kill me? What was going on?
“That's Captain Varce Bosta. I know you're just meeting him but he's been our leader for a long time now.”
“For how long?” His name piqued my interest. Infact, the whole thing interested me.
“Like a year ago. He's been in a coma for the past six months, he finally woke up three weeks ago, branched here then immediately went on the trip he just came back from.”
“What?” My breath hitched and I gasped. Coma? What for? I blinked severally, shocked to the core.
“Yes,” Oliver noticed my shock and an amused grin played on his face.
“He got into a car accident. The doctor said he lost his memories.”
“What?” My voice trembled and my ears refused to believe what they just heard. For some reason, it felt like I had just gotten punched in the gut. Everything I had planned, what would happen now?
“He has amnesia, so he has no recollection of things or people he saw shortly before the accident so that's that. We do hope he regains it soon, although Boris has been doing a good job shadowing him so far.”
“Who is Boris?” My curiosity scared me too.
“Captain's best friend and personal assistant. The guy you saw with him.”
I immediately understood. He couldn't recognize me because he didn't remember me, and that was good because I needed time to find out about the disappearance of my sister but also bad because I needed him to regain everything back again.
I wanted him to feel every single guilt when I pulled the trigger and sent him to hell.
The guys began to head back so I followed behind Oliver. As I stared at the graffiti on the wall, I wished I could stain it with paint at that moment. I just needed to destroy something. My plan was slowly going south and I had barely even begun my mission.
When we arrived, I still followed Oliver inside the room we shared with two other men. Each room has two bunks and four beds. I was at the top and it would've given me more privacy if another man wasn't top as well.
Just before I would walk up to the iron stairs to climb up to my bed, a guy dashed into the room, almost breathless.
“Sergey, Captain is looking for you. Meet him in his office now.”
I stiffened and my eyes slightly widened in surprise.
Fuck. All my emotions practically tore through me physically. I wanted to disappear and cease to exist. Had he caught on? My heart hammered in my chest as fear became my new friend.
“Me?”
The maneyed me and simply left the room like I asked him the most stupid question.
Oh sweet lord, save me.
Varce’s POVI had missed this office for the most part. I could tell it just got cleaned and there was a lot of paperwork and business deals waiting for me. Even though Boris had been working in my stead, it was still too much.Who would have thought, memory issues at this point in my life. Somehow my father died and I got to know only three weeks ago because I woke up from a coma.Still, I made sure his burial was grand, even though I detested the man for forcing me into this dark life, into his dark reign. Now I'm back as the Captain.Boris watched my every move as I went through some of the files that were on my desk. His features softened, like he pitied me for not remembering a lot of things. The doctor said it was possible I could regain it, but it would take time and I wasn't supposed to stress myself at all, but here I am.The most painful part is that apart from my father's burial, I still had to deal with the fact that a deal my father planned with another gang had gone sout
Marina's POVI walked into the casino fearlessly with my head held high. This will be my first appearance after a long time. This black provocative dress, my hair in a classic sleek bun, my lips stained the color of fresh blood, and my milky skin made me feel like the Russian princess that I was for once.It wasn't hard to understand why all the attention was on me, and honestly, I didn't need it, but I needed to look the part.I needed to double the last four million dollars I had left, since mom refused to give any more to me. All I did was buy expensive designer pants, exquisite male jackets and T-shirts and a couple of caps, like a dozen times. I understood that she didn't like that I dressed that way, but I preferred comfort over stupid dresses like this one I had on now. Not only did it invite unwanted attention, it also made me look different, like some prey. The casino was similar to the ones I've seen in movies, and men in well tailored suits were scattered across like ants

I've only been here for three days since I somehow infiltrated the notorious biker gang. While the other men couldn't care less for the petite new male recruit, Oliver seemed very excited. I wasn't sure if it was because he finally moved up in rank and all his responsibilities would be shifted to me or if he really just wanted a friend.I look like a boy now, at least I put in the effort. Shit happened, in case you're wondering. It's been six months. Six cruel months.Revenge fueled my veins, ever since the assassination of my mother.
