Chapter 23~ Valerie's POV

The following day arrived, and I slightly opened my eyes while being disturbed by the morning light shining into my room.

I turned to the other side of my bed and surprisingly, I met Dante still sound asleep.

I moved closer to him, chuckling to myself I touched his curly hair dangling on his forehead.

Admitting this because it's a must, he looked more handsome than last night, or am I seeing what's not there, what's happening to me?

But not minding the echoes in my head, I moved even closer to him to land him a kiss.

As I got close, suddenly he opened his eyes and swiftly turned my back on the bed while he got on top of me.

I was frightened by this but I composed myself with a heavy saliva glupping down my throat.

Being on top, he kept his stare steady as he looked into my eyes like he was calling out for my soul. Then he uttered breaking the echoes of the loud breath.
