After spending most hours at the office working nonstop, subsequently, my phone rang while the clicking sound from my laptop was audibly heard.

Picking it up for a look, I realized it was my father calling.

Rolling my eyes over, I inhaled a deep breath as I answered the call.

"Hello Dad," I began.

"Hello son, how are you doing?" He said.

"Good, Dad, pushing it as always," I uttered to him.

"Well, I just wanted to check up on you, since it's been a while since I saw you," he continued as I could perceive the sadness laced beneath his words.

"I just thought we could have dinner tonight, I know you have your apartment and all, but I and your mother want some time with you if that's not too much to ask," My father requested.
