57| Cutting him off

Derrick felt enraged after seeing that Miranda had blocked him online. He sighed as Alex's word replayed in his mind, "Miranda doesn't want an arrogant man. Why not confess your feelings to her, Uncle?"

"Hmm, but I'm not in love with Miranda. How do I confess my feelings to a maid of no value?" Derrick scowled as he kept his phone away.

Later, when he went downstairs to have his lunch other than phoning the maids to bring his lunch. Lady Loretta was sitting at the dining table, dressed in a long blue gown, and she didn't call Derrick to join her.

"Mom," Derrick strolled over to the dining table. He thought to contact Alex to help him beg Miranda to return.

Lady Loretta didn't reply to Derrick as she continued enjoying her lunch meal alone. She was eating a plate of rice garnished with fried chickens, and the maids had already excused her.

Once the maids saw Derrick walked up to the dining table to join his mother, they inquired of him, "Sir, should we serve your dinner now?"
