Two weeks later, Miranda stayed at home, recovering from the shock that she was pregnant with Derrick. She decided to resume going to her shopping mall.

As Miranda prepared in her room, it was a brand new week, Monday. Miranda got out of her bed and went to bathe. As she stepped out from her bathroom, she donned a blue gown and black sandals. She went to tend to her appearance in her room mirror.

Miranda had learned to stock up her house with food products so she wouldn't have to wander about, looking for where she would purchase her household items.

She knew that her neighbors were trying to pry into her life to find out who her husband was, but Miranda didn't give them the opportunity. In the apartment building where Miranda lived, on the top floor, a pregnant woman lived there with her husband. The lady was newly married and didn't hesitate to show off her ring in the presence of Miranda, thinking that Miranda was dating other women's husbands.
