Trapped Unexpectedly II

Anna’s POV

When I regained consciousness, I found myself in a strange place. It was really dark and my hands were tied to the chair I sat on. My legs were not free either. I could see Jamie beside me with the only difference being that he was standing while being tied. I could see that he had cuts on his mouth and his arm was bleeding lightly. He must have fought the thugs before he got captured.

“Jamie!” I called after I had taken in the situation with my eyes. He raised his head carefully and turned towards me.

“I am fine,” he replied. “However, I am worried about you. Are you okay at all?”

“I am also okay,” I replied. “I can’t remember much about what happened to both of us. It was seconds after I saw those thugs that I lost consciousness.”

“They aren’t thugs…” Jamie replied coldly. “They are skilled martial artists and probably, ex-military. They are coordinated in their attacks and this place is an underground facility. It is more like a secret warehouse where contraband are kept
