Like a Proper Couple  

Anna’s POV

Smith slept before me at night and he woke up before me in the morning. When I woke up, he had placed a cup of tea and a cup of water on the table at our bedside. The wall clock read ten minutes to seven. Smith must still be inside, probably in the bathroom right now. He would have given me good morning kisses, but I didn’t know, of course.

I stood up and stretched my body. I walked out of the room and the butler was walking around at that time.

“You are awake, miss,” he told me and took his eyes off me like he had seen the face of an armed robber. “Your button is off. I can see a bit of your chest.”

Saying this, the old butler left instantly. I did the buttons properly but I let it go. He was old and he couldn’t have dirty thoughts towards me. Like I thought, Smith was in the bathroom.
