Hidden Secrets

Anna’s POV

I shook my head in unbelief.

“Say the truth, Smith. Are you really so obsessed with me or are you just pretending?” I asked him calmly. This was not a serious question but I would have appreciated truly if he gave me a proper answer.

“You are all I desire, darling…” Smith told me specially. “I have all the material things I need. Just keep yourself save and give me no reason to worry. Trust me, that would be the greatest gift you could give me. Also, I will be glad if you can grant a wish of mine.”

“What is it about?” I asked inquisitively. Before he talked, I noticed how he hesitated a bit. It seemed he would be raising a sensitive issue. I paid rapt attention to everything he said after.

“About Charlotte and the fact that she is in a secret organization…” Smith said calmly.

“How do you know about that?” I asked him hastily. No one apart from me and my bodyguards would have known about this. There had to be a leak from somewhere.
