Smith’s POV

I had been feeling bitter since I snubbed Anna earlier in the morning. She was comparing me to other men and this was annoying enough. The way she described it made it worse. It showed that she had been paying so much attention to this. I was annoyed and everyone who got in my way could tell. I showed my frustration visibly.

“Miss. Anna is not at work yet even though it is past resumption hours. I think we might have not given her a preview about how we operate here. What should I do?” Charlotte asked carefully.

“Don’t ask me!” I shouted at her angrily. I realised what I did and tuned it down a little. “When she arrives, scold her and teach her the rules. Do not ask me about everything. If you don’t want to retire as a personal assistant, you will need to use your brain more than ever. Do not take orders for everything. You have your own brain as well. I am saddled with a truckload of things and you wish to add a trivial matter like that of Anna!”
