“What do you mean, miss?” William asked me carefully. “How would the hospital help in this situation? You were about to get a pay cut when you just joined the company yesterday. You are not on good terms with Mr. Smith as well. You should just go to work before it's too late. He might be your husband but I sense he would like a professional relationship at times.”

“I know,” I replied coldly. “I can't continue to be like this with Smith. It's killing me and even though I have punched this sandbag like my life depends on it, it has not gone away completely. Until he holds me tightly with me feeling safe in his arms, this might never work out!”
