“You’re still standing.” He asked me while deep down I wasn’t so sure.

Which is because I can barely feel my body. Instead, the only thing obvious to me was the enlarged size of my eyes, that could’nt stay in their sockets this time.

I want to pat my budged stomach and whisper, “It’s nothing. Just your father’s ex-mate on his couch.” But deep down, it was much more than that.

The sight before me is a lot. Something more than I can look away from. The last time I checked, he didn’t want to have her inside and now, here she is, sleeping peacefully and sharing the same air as him.

I doubt she appeared here on her own.

How blind was I to have not noticed her earlier?

He must have found me pretty ridiculous. Can’t believe I was just cracking jokes with him. Silly me was happy about the tension that went missing between us just a minute ago. And now, it’s back- shaking me apart.
