I placed my ear against the rough wooden door in an attempt to hear their conversation, when suddenly the door gave way and I went tumbling in.

I quickly held up my hands and there goes the fake chuckle, “Oops, I’m sorry. I slipped.”

Both George and Derek’s eyes were on me, looking so suspicious over my sudden entry. I rephrase, I barged in.

“Actually how did I get here?” I stopped in front of them and squinted my face. And one eyebrow of Derek that’s instantly raised told me how ridiculous he thought I was.

To myself I’m hiding from him, whereas he has already seen me clearly. He knew I was eavesdropping.

Actually I was curious and couldn’t hold myself down from going to hear what he was telling my brother- I should get used to calling him that- when he called him to his chamber.
