Chapter eighty-three

Katherine's POV

I ran through the streets, tears stinging my ears as I ignored Emma's shout and the stares of people as I ran past.

I was distraught and emotional and I felt betrayed.

Immediately I started to pack my bags, shoveling in my clothes without even folding them. I reached for the phone that Caleb gave me before he left in case of an emergency.

I dialed the number repeatedly but nothing was going. The line was disconnected or so it told me.

I left him a voicemail telling him about all that happened. I ended up crying in the voicemail which I hoped didn't worry Caleb when he would listen to it.

It went,

"Hey Caleb it's me. By the time you hear this voicemail, I will be halfway to the pack house. I have the phone you gave me for emergencies if you want to call through but it'll probably do within the first three or four days.

You're also wondering why I'm leaving a bit of a long story short, Shadow somehow found out where I was staying and he attacked." I paused, trying to ree
