CHAPTER 45 Marcellus woke up with a start. His head was pounding, and his vision was blurred. Tristan's POV In the end, Willa signed the divorce agreement and walked out of the ward in silence. I was still too weary from having just woken up, and I barely managed a couple of sentences with Willa before drowsiness washed over me again. When I finally opened my eyes again, I realized that evening had settled in. Delilah walked into the ward with the warm chicken noodle soup and noticed the divorce agreement with both signatures. She merely set the container down and opened it, her eyes narrowing slightly as she said, "You woke up just in time, Tristan. I just made this, so please have some."

Lana's Point of View When I woke up, the first thing I saw was white. It's not the soft kind of white. It is bright and sharp and all over the place. White above me. All around me is white. White pressing in from all sides until it feels like it might get inside my head. I blinked hard, hoping the colour would go away, but it didn't. It just keeps spreading, like fog that won't go away. A noise cuts through it.
