Alexi - I woke from my slumber once the doctor came in. I sat up abruptly, making myself alert to hear what the doctor had to say. The doctor took a stool and brought the stool near to Nicolas and I. Holding onto his clipboard jotting down notes, his eyes looked grim as the doctor started to speak.

CHAPTER 45 Marcellus woke up with a start. His head was pounding, and his vision was blurred. As he tried to make sense of his surroundings, he realized he was lying on a bed in a room that was blindingly bright. The white light was shining directly on his face, making it difficult for him to see anything else in the room. He squinted his eyes and tried to adjust his vision.

Before I could finish, he cut me off impatiently, "Yeah, work's calling. I have to go." He rushed out the door, and I didn't press him further. However, my doubts grew heavier. Was he really that busy? I followed him, and that was when I saw the happy family scene I had just described. I lifted my numb fingers and hit record, capturing the entire scene in front of me. When I returned home, I locked myself in my room and played the video on repeat. While I lay unconscious, someone else had quietly taken my place. What was the point of waking up at all?

Tristan's POV In the end, Willa signed the divorce agreement and walked out of the ward in silence. I was still too weary from having just woken up, and I barely managed a couple of sentences with Willa before drowsiness washed over me again. When I finally opened my eyes again, I realized that evening had settled in. Delilah walked into the ward with the warm chicken noodle soup and noticed the divorce agreement with both signatures. She merely set the container down and opened it, her eyes narrowing slightly as she said, "You woke up just in time, Tristan. I just made this, so please have some."

Lana's Point of View When I woke up, the first thing I saw was white. It's not the soft kind of white. It is bright and sharp and all over the place. White above me. All around me is white. White pressing in from all sides until it feels like it might get inside my head. I blinked hard, hoping the colour would go away, but it didn't. It just keeps spreading, like fog that won't go away. A noise cuts through it.

"GRIEF DOESN'T WAIT FOR YOU TO BE READY. IT JUST ARRIVES AND TAKES EVERYTHING." SOFIA The ceiling is the first thing I see when I wake up. White. Still. The ceiling of my bedroom that I have stared at on so many sleepless nights that I know every mark on it. For exactly two seconds I don't remember. Two seconds of just existing. Just breathing. Just the ordinary feeling of waking up in a familiar room with light coming through the curtains.

“Healer… look.” The healer stepped closer just as Elsie’s eyelids fluttered faintly. For the first time in seven days, in seven goddess given days.... Her breathing changed. A slow inhale. Everything went blurry then faded to black. ### When I woke, I stared at the white ceiling confused. Somehow I didn’t think ceilings would be in either heaven or hell. Something moved out of the corner of my eye. I turned my head to see a woman tending to something on a table near the door. Her back was turned so I couldn’t see her face. She was dressed in a flowing white dress with pale white skin. Her blonde hair also seemed to be almost white too.

. Lyn POV “ Woke up , sleep head” I hear mom call me . However I don't feel waking up . I am in a dream that is so good that I don't even want it to end . However mom keeps shaking me until when I finally wake up . “ Ehmmm, mom ” I groan tossing and then looking up at her . “ Why are you looking at me like that ?” I ask mom when I see the way she is looking at me. She is smiling usually in a morning .
