Just as we were about to leave, my secretary knocked on the door, letting me know that Mr. Jackson was outside and wanted to talk to me about my conditions. I immediately turned to Dad to apologize for the interruption.

"Go ahead and talk to him, sweetie. We’ll wait for you in the lobby," he said, encouraging me. I nodded and let Mr. Jackson in as Dad stepped out of the office.

Moments later, my secretary entered, followed closely by Mr. Jackson, who was carrying a folder.

"Ms. Kim!" I called to my secretary, halting her as she was about to leave the office.

"Please, would you make us some tea?" I asked politely. "Thank you!" I added, which prompted her to leave the room.

"Have a seat, Mr. Jackson!" I said as he settled into the chair across from me.

He opened the folder, and I noticed he seemed rushed, as if he was pressed for time.
