"Pakakasalan Kita," walang emosyong mababakas sa boses nito. Sa tono nito ay hindi nagtatanong kundi nagsasabi lang na para bang utang na loob niya pa at dapat siyang matuwa. Napatigil siya sa pag-iyak. Marahas na nag-angat siya ng tingin dito. Nababaliw na ito kung iniisip nitong papayag siya sa gusto nitong mangyari. Hindi sa lalaking bumaboy sa kanya. Mapait siyang natawa "Hinding hindi ako magpapakasal sa demonyong katulad mo!" Puno ng pagkamuhi na sigaw niya dito. Ngunit wala siyang nagawa ng kaladkarin siya nito papunta sa isang judge para magpakasal. At mas lalong wala siyang nagawa ng unti-unting nahulog ang loob niya dito at matutunan itong mahalin sa kabila ng mga nangyari.
