I glance at where she sits next to another man, looking over his wounds. "No. This man is my mate, but I don't want to say anything. What if he doesn't live long enough to meet me? I'm scared to lose him even though I don't know him." I lightly touch his cheek, and his eyes flutter. I hope that means he can feel me. "Jordan says his name is Shane, and he's a hawk." I look up at Anya in disbelief. I would laugh if I didn't feel ready to break down. A hawk and a bunny; that sounds like a bad joke.

He said, raising an eyebrow at me. “She can't blow a punch for her own good, she's not going to be able to save herself if something happens to her, and it was nothing but me training her to know how to sustain herself. As you might know, she is my Luna by name. But that's it. It's just going to be something by name.” I said, and he sighed.

After a while, he sighed. "My real name is Lucian Quentin Ross". His cold voice broke the silence. I raised my head to look at him. Shock evident on my face. "My dad is Damien Ross". He continued. A small gasp flew from my lips, my eyes widening in surprise. I've heard of Damien Ross. He was one of America's biggest and most wanted drug lord. Ignoring the look on my face, he continued.

“I hope that you will still remember when you see me tomorrow, though as large as that mug is, I’m not certain you will.” “He never does,” Shannon offered with a laugh, her freckled face contorting a bit with the heartiness of her glee. She was tall and thin, even taller than Kian, with long strawberry blonde hair, and though Aaron never found her particularly pretty, she was a good match for his friend. He was certain Kian would be announcing an engagement soon, and Aaron looked forward to having him as a neighbor on the new plots the landlord had just agreed to lease nearer the lake once he had Aislyn’s hand as well.

But a scar still remained on her leg. I had been preapring for Wilson. He says eventually, noises behind him reveal the blonde girl that Flame was arguing with earlier. “Oh please be Darius’ friend.” She grins, pushing the boy out of the way and extending her hand. “I’m Gale. Gale Winters.” “Cain Harden.” I shake her hand quickly before dropping it and turning to the boy again, attempting to be pleasant when I just want him to get the fuck out of my way. “Darius told me we were going Tree Surfing.”

“Damn!” Shane kicked the stone from where he stood when he could no longer see the lights from his car which Audrey drove to get away from him. He was so mad that he intended to throw anything that caught his attention. The flowers and other ornamental plants in the pots ended up scattered on the ground as he kept breaking them. He was close to losing his mind when his phone started ringing. Shane checked who was calling and was relieved it was his manager and not Stephanie. Ever since he agreed to play along with the company, the latter would always call him to check his whereabouts like a demanding wife.

I step in through the doors of the stadium, and the sight that welcomes me brings a scream of horror out of my vocals because there on the rink is Shane, lying on the ice with a large puddle of blood flooding around him, gusting out from his head and other parts of his body and lastly, he’s lifeless. He’s dead.

Evelyn's POV "I, Alpha Kyle Turner, reject you, Evelyn Sanders, as my mate." Alpha Kyle hoarse voice boomed in my ears making me freeze on my tracks, his voice laced with disgust. Crack! A cracking sound resounded inside my body and I felt as if a part of me was forcefully torn and taken away. My wolf howled in pain but there was nothing I could do about it. Tears flowed down my face as the pain became immeasurable, increasing with each second to the point I was unable to tolerate it. I could care less about the gazes on me. I was already used to it.
