Whispers of the Forgotten

Whispers of the Forgotten

No sound of traffic, no distant hum of technology, nothing but a stillness that made her feel like she was walking through a forgotten graveyard. She looked around, her heart beating faster as the realization sank in: this was **Nyxterra**. The place she had only heard whispered rumors about, a world where lost memories supposedly went to die. It was said that those who wandered too far into the shadows of Nyxterra rarely came back. The city itself was a labyrinth of half-formed structures, their outlines blurred as though they were fading in and out of existence, forgotten by time and memory.

Buried and Forgotten

Buried and Forgotten

His joy that night came from something entirely different and unrelated to them. The woman he truly loved, Sophia Hadley, had finally returned. Six years ago, James and Sophia had been deeply in love. However, Sophia had abruptly left. While chasing after her, James got into an accident and lost the ability to walk. Naomi had been his personal assistant at the time. She stayed by his side day and night. She endured his mood swings, encouraged him, and helped him through rehab. The day he stood up again, joy clouded his mind. In his drunken haze, he mistook her for Sophia and made love to her through the night.

ESSENCE: Desire Without Permission — My Rivals, My Red Flags

ESSENCE: Desire Without Permission — My Rivals, My Red Flags

Cold, dead, inert junk. "The parasite isn't gone," Anji whispered, staring at the ruined bodies around them, people trying to stand up, heads held in confusion. "The parasite is everywhere we built, Sarah. The world is out of sync. There's no back-up server anymore. There’s no system support. We're the only ones left who remember the original script." He looked at the dark exit—the way up to a city that was going to wake up tomorrow morning to a terrifying, absolute absence of control.

The Day She Stopped Waiting

The Day She Stopped Waiting

Then: "You know something." Henry sighed. A long. Heavy sigh. Then: "Yes." Everyone froze. Because that answer rarely led anywhere good. Then Ava crossed her arms. "Let's try something new." Pause. "Tell us everything." Honestly? Fair. Very fair. Reasonable honestly. Then Henry looked toward the sea. Toward the glowing point on the map. Toward the Forgotten Kingdom. Then: "Long before the drowned kingdom existed..." The wind suddenly picked up. Then: "There was another civilization."

10 chapters in and I hope it’s second chance book. I love a good “leaving my shitty husband for a better man” plot but sometimes I love a good “I need to get my wife back” plot as well. Sometimes I want to read about how a relationship was pulled back from the brink and I feel this is goi to be it.

The Forgotten Luna

The Forgotten Luna

The thick, gray fog of the neutral territories swallowed Evelyn whole. The sounds of the Silvercrest estate—the desperate crackle of the radio, the distant thud of heavy artillery, and the agonized, muffled sobs of the Alpha she left kneeling in the dirt—faded into a dull, rhythmic static. The air here smelled different. It lacked the sharp, territorial ozone of pack land, replaced instead by the damp, unbothered scent of wild ferns and rotting timber.

The Forgotten Luna

The Forgotten Luna

I yelled at myself, “You are stronger than this. You will get through this. Just as you have every hurdle life has given you. You will survive this, and you will not forget.” I let myself zone out, stopped fighting for fear of what further injury might occur if I didn’t. I laid there, motionless, but he didn’t seem to notice. I let my mind wander to memories of my life before this pack, brief as it was. I thought of the picnics with my family, training with my family; my father telling me I could do anything, survive anything, with my determination. My mother always encouraged me to be kind and fair, but to never forget and not to let others walk all over me. To be the bigger person and forg

Legacy: The Forgotten World

Legacy: The Forgotten World

Sorens stated as I frown at him. “What did you say about the forgotten world? Do you know more about that part?” I asked him but he shook his head. “The forgotten world was when Northshore became Northshore, it was the last legacy before Northshore as we know it was built. The forgotten world is a myth, long forgotten.” “I need to know more about this world Sorens.” I asked him, my head already growing with possibilities. This exists, that means what this lady was trying to warn me of exists, for the forgotten world to rise. What does it mean?

I queried. He looked like he hadn’t expected the question, but he started answering anyway. “The Salvatore name hasn’t always represented the greatness that it does now. There was a time where we almost lost the throne, and that would’ve been thanks to your great grandfather. The man was a tyrant, and if you tried to stand against him, he would banish you. He had a section of land cut off from the rest of the kingdom, and that’s where he’d send the people he banished. At first, those people banded together, and the land actually became profitable and could stand on its own with the need of the royal castle. However, your great grandfather was not happy about that, so he launched an attack on

Forgotten Embers

she breathed, trying to console him, but she didn’t have the words. As the others came up to the hill top, they paused in the same shock and horror. Jordan’s eyes dropped, welling with tears, and he grabbed his wife and held her tightly as he silently wept. Ignatius was speechless, his eyes wide with astonishment at the godless sight of an above ground cemetery without any stones. Justice and Kypher kept their eyes fixed on the remnants of the city, and she saw the anger burning in their fiery gaze. The messengers from Asrymn removed their hats and held them, their heads bowed in a woeful reverence while the others stayed in saddened silence. “Reminds me of the raids,” Vanguard quietly noted
