When the last one fell, I approached the altar at the chamber’s center. The emberstone lay upon it, glowing faintly. It was said to contain the fire of fallen stars, pure and deadly.

Words, to her freaking surprise, turned to saliva and slipped down her throat. This feeling was intense— just like the eyes of her Alpha. The party raises an uproar of hisses and vibrating gargles, their tongues piercing the air and some tails even clubbing the ground in excitement. The pathfinder EmeraldEyes leaps from his perch to join them. After a series of calculated tucks and tumbles through the algae-bloomed branches, he extends his arms to catch the air with two flaps of skin and expertly slows his descent. “There is only one path across their territory and I know the fastest way to reach it. Give me two of our best runners and we can set an ambush for them,” he whispers as he comes up behind CopperTongue.

I reached out a hand, and she nuzzled it gently, her fur soft and silky to the touch. "What's her name?" I asked, my voice barely above a whisper. Flame's wolf looked up at me, and I could sense a mischievous glint in her eye. *My name is Ember,* she said, then shifted back. her voice filled with pride. "I chose it because she's fiery and passionate, just like me." I smiled, feeling a sense of joy and wonder at the sight of my daughter's beautiful wolf. Ember was a perfect name for her - it suited her fiery spirit and her shining, silver coat. “We will have to go on a run together soon.” We both smiled.

This was not the Nine Continents, and the names of herbs might be different here as well. Realization dawned upon King Astro as he heard the description. "You mean the Flame Fungi! This is an extremely rare spirit fungus. There's some in the Gem City palace, but…" Here, King Astro smiled before continuing to speak, "Don't worry, though! Emerald Cloud City is rife with precious herbs. I can ask around if there's any Fire Fungi available." Darryl nodded. "That would be great! Thank you, King Astro." King Astro waved a hand, responding respectfully before flagging down a guard captain and asking, "Do you know where to find any Fire Fungi around here?"
