I choked, unable to resist the storm of saltiness. But before she could say anything further the line went dead with a beep sound. Removing the gadget from my ear I redialized the number but couldn't connect to the call. The process happened three more times before I gave up. I tried my best to remain calm but I couldn't. Is he okay? Of course, he is right? But what if? No... I shook my head in denial. Nothing will happen...I couldn't think straight. The blizzard's thoughts were numbing my senses slowly and steadily.

Rain lashed the glass, the world holding its breath.
