She couldn't believe it. Jack was leaving her after ten years of marriage, and to make matters worse, it was just a day before Christmas. She had returned home with hopes of starting over, only to be confronted with a painful truth. It had all been a lie. Jack had never truly loved her; he had only been with her for her inheritance. Emery is a lawyer who specialises in prenuptial agreements for wealthy people. She’s well-known for drafting the contracts earning some nicknames in the field. Her biggest client is Darren who is a billionaire and a demon too, he is also known as the “King of underworld” because of his cruel ways. He has such a personality that girls like to throw themselves at him but Emery is the only human woman who was never fully charmed by him in the way other human women are. He hires her to draft his prenup before every engagement he gets into. The problem is, his relationships keep failing mainly because he isn’t over his past with Emery. Emery and Darren were childhood friends who grew up together in a small town. They fell in love and got married too quickly, and then ended up getting divorced due to differences. But both of them weren’t able to get over each other. Darren mainly gets into random engagements to make Emery angry but her calm nature is annoying him. Though she wants to kill every girl around him, she plays along with his tricks. Then at last Darren will hire Emery again, but this time with a personal twist. He doesn’t tell her that the new prenup is for their relationship which would be an attempt to give their failed marriage another shot. Emery believes it’s for yet another fiancée, and she gets involved, trying to get some personal info of Darren’s soon-to-be wives to make the contracts. In all this Darren forces Emery to revisit their own painful memories through the process.
