Later that night, my party has started and I’m already over it. My parents both left and went over to Amy’s for the evening. It’s a rare day in this life when I’m jealous of my parents, but I’d do anything to switch shoes with them right now. Do you ever wake up and feel like you’re dreaming? Like everything that is happening to you can’t be real? That’s how I feel. If it wasn’t for the pain in my bones I don’t even think I’d believe any of this was real. It can’t be real, and yet, I can feel Liam’s warmth flowing through my body right now. “Right.” Is all Liam says, before standing up. He starts putting on his shoes and walking towards the door. “I’m going to go grab some work and I’ll come back over.” He tells me, I look over at my desk again. “You don’t have to come back over.” I say and he looks down, “I still want to make sure you’re protected. Even if you plan on leaving us a year early.” He says and doesn’t wait for my reply and walks out.At least he isn’t trying to make me stay. I guess I can give him points for that. The guard they have placed in front of Amy’s house is one of my fathers’ best warriors. I know I won’t be able to sneak passed him. I walk up to him, “Hey, Dimitri.” I greet him and he looks at me skeptically, but soon gives me a knowing smile. “Hey, Liam. What can I do for you?” He asks, the look on his face telling me he can read right through me. I don’t get nervous often, but lately with Amy I have started feeling that way. “Amy, called and wanted me to come over for a minute.” It’s all I could think of, hopefully it works. “Really?
