ARIA'S POVThe grand halls of the manor lined before me. I'd taken my time to prepare before going downstairs. The soft smell of wood and pine wafted through my nose as I made my way downstairs, to the dining hall.Raising my head high and squaring my shoulders, I walked across the corridors, replying with just a mumble to the greetings of the guards and servants that passed me.I could feel their gazes lingering. ARIA'S POVThe forest was unnaturally still. Even though it was chilly, the leaves were not rustiling. It was so quiet as though it was uninhabited by the wolves that stayed close-by.The sun was shining brightly but it looked like the canopy of trees was preventing the sun from making its entrance, making the forest a little too cloudy.The past two days had been me resting in the confines of my room per Caden's instruction. I'd had no choice but to go to Caden and reveal the things I'd found out that night, including the mark and the strange woman who had refused to tell me her name.
