Moon’s POV. Sweet moon goddess! Whoever it was at the door wasn’t planning on leaving any time soon. After the first knock and not receiving an answer, (s)he knocked again, this time, with more urgency. Aiden hovered over me, I opened one of my eyes to peek at him, and I could see his jaw tick as his eyes journeyed from me to the door as if trying to make a last-minute plan. I was both grateful for and mortified at the knock and whoever it was behind it. It succeeded in stopping the beast I didn’t realize I fell in love with, but knowing that the person behind the door might have seen Aiden carry me like a sack of potatoes over his shoulder made me sick to my stomach. Finally, Aiden lets go of me and I fall back to the bed, a little jittery to feel relieved.“Shit, shit, shit!” I hear him say as he starts pacing to and fro, his hand making a mess of his already messy hair.
