Then it was pushed open and Fernandez walked inside.“I thought you were going to leave with him” I said to him as I referred to Michael and he shook his head.“I stayed back to keep watch over you” he replied and I nodded my head.“You should be heading to Miss Frost's office by now. The boss told you to do so before leaving” he said and I eyed him before getting up and walking toward him.“I know and I'm going there” I snapped and with that, I pulled the door open and walked past him to leave the office.He walked right behind me as I made my way to Cassia Frost's office and when I reached the door, I stopped. CHAPTER 35TAYLORThree days later, Fernandez still kept to his words. Michael didn't get a wind of what happened between me and Cassia and I was so thankful to him for that. I didn't care if it was wrong of me to hide Cassia’s confrontation away from Michael because he was probably going to blame me for everything. You should get ready fast because I'll be there in the next two hours to get you” he said and I nodded in understanding. CHAPTER 39 TAYLOR “What was that man doing here?” Michael's voice suddenly came from behind me and I quickly looked back to see him standing behind my chair with a furious look in his eyes as he stared at me. “I don't know… he just introduced himself as Nick to me and I told him off. He didn't spend up to a minute here” I replied and he looked back at the so called Nick’s direction before looking back at me. “Are you sure he didn't say anything else to you?” he asked and I frowned because why was he acting so paranoid about a short conversation that I had with a stranger? “He didn't. Just introduced himself to me and walked away after realizing we’re married” I said and he sighed before taking a seat beside me. “He's the son of a weapon merchandiser and his father is a son of a bitch so we don't get along. Be careful with your words if he returns to speak to you” he said and all I could think about was that for the first time, he was telling me things. It felt so unreal.
