CHAPTER 021

SYLVIA I stood at my window, gazing into the dawn." Today shall be great." The sky transformed, and the birds sang their morning song flipping through the sky. As an admirer of nature's beauty, I never seized to miss the rise of the sun nor it's set, yet in my pleasure my heart remained cold. The pack's silence enveloped the entire atmosphere. No laughter, no chatter everywhere felt empty.Only the weight of Aria's fragile existence and my control. The Alpha's desperation still lingered. His hope, was now tied to my mercy." Dear Bryan, how soon would you realize my trap? " I pondered in pleasure and mockery, as I smiled, letting a subtle curve off my lips. This is power, the power I longed for all my years of suffering. I rumbled words in my belly as I stared through my window. The sun rose higher, casting golden light. The forest awakened, birds singing sweet melodies more louder than I already heard, but the pack's stillness remained as it were. A held breath, awaiting Aria's fate.

I responded, with so much assurance, trying to sound confident. But Ivar's face etched in anguish, his eyes welling up with tears. I could barely detect his next words."You know something, don't you?" he accused, his voice laced with desperation."Ivar, Aria's illness was severe and everyone in the pack feared for her survival. " I explained, keeping my tone gentle."But now she's revived and is healing," I reassured, trying to offer a glimmer of hope. " That's what matters to us all. "Ivar's eyes filled with tears, as his body began shaking as he struggled to contain his emotions. The breeze blew thro

We can't keep on fighting it." another pack member urged, as desperation creeped into their voice.I nodded thoughtfully. "I'm working with the Alpha to find a cure," I responded. "But we need your cooperation as well, cause we can't do it all alone."The pack members nodded, determination etched on their faces."We'll do whatever it takes, to save the Viking pack." one of them vowed. I smiled reassuringly. The source stands
