Author’s pov Adrian raced towards his father's house, his heart pounding with fear. On his way here while in his car, he had gripped his phone, tempted to make some calls about the situation, but his mother's words kept resurfacing, holding him back. As he arrived, he hastily parked the car without bothering to lock the door and hurried inside. "Good morning, sir," some of the guards greeted him, but he disregarded them and proceeded indoors. He made his way to his father's sitting room, only to find it empty. It was as he expected, so he hurried to his father's bedroom, but his father was nowhere to be found. Exiting the room, he encountered one of the guards near the dining room.
