Amber’s pov I woke up early in the morning, eager to begin my first day as Adrian's secretary. As I sat on the edge of the bed, fully dressed except for my shoes, an idea struck me. Perhaps it would be a pleasant surprise for Adrian if I went ahead and prepared breakfast for him. "Should I wait here or head to the kitchen and prepare something special? Who knows, it might pique his interest," I pondered to myself. With that thought in mind, I stood up and made my way to the kitchen. To my surprise, Mr. Charles, the cook, was already there. "Good morning, ma'am," he greeted me hastily. "Good morning. What are you preparing this morning?" I approached the area where the aprons were hung, intending to pick one up and put it on.
