Serenity’s POV That evening at supper, Bentley’s seat remained unoccupied but his chair wasn’t the only vacant one. Alpha Gavin wasn’t on seat too and I became anxious as to why they were absent. I had already learned in my short time here that eating together was a family business. Whatever was keeping them occupied against having to join us must be an urgent business too.Just making sure, I bear my worries. “Is everything alright with Alpha Gavin and my brother?” I ask Alpha Atticus and his wife; my gaze never leaving Alpha Gavin’s seat. It seemed I was more worried for him than my brother.Alpha Atticus spoke up rather easily, “He needed to take care of an important issue. These issues arise often. You will get used to it as his luna.”
