She grinned as she pressed down on the handle to her bedroom, feeling the anxious butterflies in her stomach. As she pulled Ryker into the centre of her room, she wasn’t exactly sure why she felt so nervous. She wanted this more than anything, but now that the time had finally arrived, she found it to be quite overwhelming. Merely a few weeks ago she had her head set on rejecting the triplets, yet now she stood before one of them preparing to wear his mark on her neck. Her father was going to kill her. “Can we not think about dad right now?” Ocean whined, scrunching up her snout. “Right, sorry.” Brielle chuckled, turning to face a discombobulated Ryker. She draped her arms around his neck, batting her lashes up at him. “Hi.” She cooed. Ryker chuckled, gently snaking his arms around her waist and pulling h

It had been two days since Brielle and Ryker had completed their bond, also meaning it had been two days since Brielle had come into contact with River. His conflicted feelings had caused him to avoid her like the plague, knowing the painful strain of jealousy that was bound to consume him once he saw Ryker’s mark on her neck. River was delighted his brother had gotten the ending he deserved, after all Ryker had never been conflicted over his desires for Brielle, but there was a part of River that hated how easily Ryker could forget everything they had been through. Although, the more River thought about it, the more taking a chance and being with Brielle started to outweigh anything his father had done or said. River let out a deep breath as he threw another pebble into a nearby stream, watching how the pebble created a ripple effect as it collided with the water. “You can’t avoid her forever, River.” Kane grumbled, fed up with his human counterpart. River scowled. “I’m not avo

The four Alpha’s gathered around the Queens desk as they eagerly anticipated their instructions for the day. No one dared mutter a word just yet, their skepticism outweighed their curiosity as they watched the High Priestess with alert eyes. Gladdis hummed to herself as she rummaged through her bag filled with potions and lotions, feeling rather amused as the curious wolves watched her like a hawk. She received the same reaction many times, once her identity was revealed individuals never knew whether to be scared for their life or in awe of her presence. Gladdis preferred it that way, everyone should feel a little bit of both during an encounter with her. “Ah!” Gladdis tutted, clasping onto something in her bag. “There they are.” She muttered, mainly to herself. She set her bag to the side, before placing several bracelets along the desk worktop. Everyone’s eyes landed on the beaded bracelets, only adding to their silent confusion. The bracelets were gold chains laced with beaded

“Stop messing with it, that’s the last one.” Ryker snapped at Reid, who frowned as he quit fidgeting with the bracelet around his wrist. Brielle moved her gaze from the window, grinning at the youngest of her mates. Even in the most worrisome moments, he managed to make her smile. “I never considered you to be a jewellery type of guy, Reid.” She teased. He quirked his brow, letting a smirk draw on his lips. “I’m full of surprises.” He winked. “Did he have to look so good when he said that.” Ocean groaned. “It’s very distracting.” Brielle shook her head at him, chuckling softly, before returning her attention to the scenery outside. Bubbles of anxiety formulated in the pit of her stomach, she could only prey they got there on time for the plan to run smoothly. “Are we there yet?” Reid groaned, quickly growing impatient now he couldn’t twiddled with the beads on his wrist to pass time. “It’s like having a child.” Scarlett complained, narrowing her eyes on Reid, earning a laugh fro

Brielle furrowed her brows as she studied the empty space Zion was previously sat just moments ago. They needed to find a way to stop him from doing that, which sounded much easier than it clearly was. A tingling sensation shot through her wrist, causing her attention to divert. The feeling only lasted a couple of seconds, but unlike when she felt the touch of her mates, this tingle was sharp.. painful even. She thought back to moments ago, when the rogue king stood before her. How had he managed to do that? One second she was laughing in his face due to his delusions, but the next she couldn’t take her eyes off of him. It was as though she was hypnotised, being drawn to him completely against her will yet utterly unable to do anything about it. It must have been magic, but how could that be if she had her bracelet? Brielle’s eyes widened.. the rogue who had the cheek to take a snap at her tail, it must have come off then. She groaned inwardly, frustrated by how their chance had

“Where are you guys? Dad’s about to commit treason against the King if you aren’t back soon.” Harlie linked Brielle. The four alpha’s were making their way back through the surrounding woods, finally remembering why they were there in the first place after that quick distraction. Brielle’s cheeks flushed as she crinkled her nose. They’d have to come up with some form of excuse as to why they’d been gone longer than necessary without Zion. “We’ll be two minutes, we got a bit… caught up. Can you bring me some clothes?” Ryker tightened his arm around Brielle’s waist as they came into the clearing, although they hadn’t gotten the result they wanted in terms of capturing Zion, matters between his brothers and his mate were progressing just as he had hoped. The four stood at the edge of the training grounds as Harlie ran over with an oversized T-shirt for Brielle to throw on, along with three pairs of navy, Amaris joggers for the triplets. It wouldn’t bode well for any of them if they m

After Reid continued to apply his boyish charm, David eased off the interrogation with his daughters mates. Granted, he still wasn’t pleased by Brielle’s decision, but she was right when she said it was her decision to make, not his. Besides, it turned out Reid was right. He really does have a way with parents, 10 minutes after declaring his forfeit of the challenges David had taken the alpha under his arm and headed into the pack house for a beer. Brielle, Harlie and Sophia found themselves rendered speechless as they watched the pair joke over Brielle’s stubbornness. Sophia was happy her daughter had embraced the sacred bond she was blessed with, adoring the way Brielle’s face lit up as she interacted with them. King Nathaniel and Queen Serena had headed back to Amaris shortly after being updated on the situation with Zion, they decided the next best course of action was to liaise with Gladdis and attempt to track down the witches helping him. Brielle, her three mates, Harlie an

Ryker opened his arms for Brielle’s embrace as she and Reid wandered into the living room with wide smiles. Her eyes softened as she noticed her readily awaiting mate, before taking a seat next to him on the brown, vintage leather sofa and resting her head against his chest. Ryker placed a soft kiss on her forehead as Reid plonked himself down beside them. Harlie and Scarlett were sat on a matching sofa opposite the three alphas, both wearing knowing smirks as they eyed Brielle. River was sprawled out in an arm chair at the side of Ryker, flicking through the channels on the tv as he considered the film options. Scarlett shuffled her fingers through her bowl of popcorn, still grinning at her alpha. “Nice of you both to join us.” She teased, earning herself an eye roll from Brielle. “Was the shower taking too long to heat up, Bri?” Harlie pondered, before taking a handful of Scarlett’s popcorn and shoving it in her mouth. Scarlett scoffed. “I think the problem was trying to cool i

After a morning of emotional goodbyes, the group headed back to Amaris Castle just as they had planned. Unlike the previous day, the car journey back was much less eventful. Reid blasted out his favourite Kelly Clarkson songs, Scarlett grumbled over his ability to stay on key, Harlie was still in a daze over watching the Queen in action, River was concentrating on driving and Brielle and Ryker calmly enjoyed the views from the backseat. River would sometimes catch Brielle’s gaze through the rear-view mirror, but any thoughts remained unsaid. They had made progress on this trip, progress which they both hoped would continue. But they both knew they had a lot to discuss before any real developments could be made. A small smile fell on Brielle’s lips as she thought back to how he took care of her last night, she didn’t know he had that side to him and it had been a welcomed surprise. He held her in his arms until the sun rose and despite all the conflict between them, she felt comple

Brielle and the triplets spent the remainder of their day settling back into life at the castle. Their meeting with the Royals and Gladdis had been shortly adjourned thereafter, with Gladdis concluding that she needed additional time to reach out to her contacts and discuss her theory on who she believed to be helping Zion. She hadn’t told them much, only that she believed the witch to be a lady named Nimue before stating the woman ‘was nothing but trouble’. The triplets, Harlie and Scarlett had been assigned watch duty on Brielle, or as she preferred to call it ‘baby sitting’ to ensure she didn’t attempt any more disappearing acts. Brielle had to admit that it hadn’t been all bad though, she would have been lying if she said she hadn’t enjoyed the constant attention from her mates. Both Reid and Ryker had refused to leave her side since they left the office. However, as she woke up with the both of their legs sprawled over her and not an inch of room for her to move, she was debati
