Chapter 81

ALEX'S POV I stood in front of the mirror, adjusting my tie countless times. Tonight was a big night. "Oh my! you look great honey." my wife, Rhonda, exclaimed, as soon as she walked into the room. I took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "But you need to relax. You're going to be fine." She said as she helped me with my tie. "I know, I just can't believe they're doing this. I don't feel like I deserve it." Rhonda smiled and put her hands on my shoulders. "You deserve it, Alex. You've done so much for this community, and it's time they showed their appreciation."

Chapter 82

DANTE'S POV I sat at my desk, staring at my computer screen as I tried to focus on the reports in front of me. But my mind kept wandering back to Olivia and our plan to tell our parents about our relationship. I had been thinking about this moment for days, wondering how our parents would react. Would they be surprised? Upset? Or would they be happy for us? I glanced at my watch, knowing that Olivia was working at the Barnes Bar today. I hoped she was doing okay, and that she was thinking about me too. Just then, my phone buzzed with a text from Olivia. "Hey, are you ready to do this?" she asked. I smiled, feeling a sense of excitement. "Yeah, I'm ready," I

Chapter 83

OLIVIA'S POV  The days that followed were awkward, to say the least. Everyone went about their business, waking up, eating, and going to work, but no one addressed the elephant in the room. The tension was palpable, and I could feel it hanging in the air like a thick fog. Rhonda, my mom, seemed particularly worried. She would sigh constantly, and her eyes would cloud over with concern. But she didn't say a word to either Dante or me. It was as if she was waiting for something to happen, but didn't know what. Dante and I tried to act normal, but it was hard. We would catch each other's eye, and I could see the uncertainty there. We were both thinking the same thing: what's next? Alex, my dad, was distant. He wou

Chapter 84

DANTE'S POV I walked into the living room, my heart pounding my chest. Olivia was already there, her eyes fixed on the floor. Our parents, Alex and Rhonda, sat on the couch, their expressions serious. It's been a week since we confessed our relationship to our parents. A week of awkward silences, tense meals, and unspoken words. The weight of their disapproval hung in the air. It was suffocating me. I felt like I was walking on a thin line, never knowing when I'd say or do something wrong. Olivia was hurting too, and it killed me to see her like that. She'd cry in my arms at night, whispering fears that our parents would never accept us. I tried to comfort her, to reassure her that everything would be okay. But deep

Chapter 85

DANTE'S POV As we walked through the airport, Olivia and I couldn't help but hold hands, our fingers intertwined like our lives. We had just booked our flights back to Philly, back to Wexford Ivy, and reality was starting to sink in. We found our gate and settled into the waiting area, surrounded by the hustle and bustle of travelers rushing to their destinations.  As we boarded the plane and found our seats, I couldn't help but think about how far we'd come. We sat on the plane, and I thought about the crazy Christmas break we had. It wasn't just a short trip home. We had gone home for the holidays, expecting a relaxing time. But our lives got turned upside down. My dad got arrested and put in jail for somethi

Chapter 86

DANTE'S POV I walked through the campus, my backpack weighing me down like my own personal anchor. Academic workload and social pressures were suffocating me, making it hard to breathe. I felt like I was drowning in a sea of expectations. That's when I saw her, Olivia, sitting in the library, surrounded by stacks of books and notes. She looked up and smiled, and I smiled back. “Hey, babe," she said, looking up from her studies. "What's wrong? You look like you've lost someone." I collapsed into the chair across from her, feeling defeated. "I probably have. I wonder why I got to do psychology. I'm in business for crying out loud.” She smiled symp

Chapter 87

DANTE'S POV I stepped off the baseball field, sweat dripping down my face. Coach had been riding me hard all practice, pushing me to be my best. But it wasn't just Coach who was applying the pressure. My teammates were starting to get on my case too. "Hey, Dante, why don't you ever come out with us?" Stephen asked, as we walked off the field. "We're going to a party tonight, and it's going to be lit." I shook my head. "Nah, I'm good. I've got homework to do." Jesse, another teammate, chimed in. "Homework? Come on, Dante, you're a jock. You don't need to worry about that stuff." I frowned at his tone. "I do worry about it, Jesse. And I'm not going to let my

Chapter 88

OLIVIA'S POV I walked into the choir room, ready for another rehearsal with the glee club. But as soon as I saw the others, I knew something was off. They were all whispering and glancing at me, their eyes filled with a mixture of curiosity and suspicion. As I approached, they fell silent, their eyes fixed on me. "Hey, Olivia," Sophia said, coming over to me. "What's going on? You look like you're in a daze." I shook my head, trying to brush it off. "I'm fine, Sophia. Just a little tired." Her appearance, broke the awkward silence. "So, what's up?" I hesitated, sensing the tension in the room. "Not much. I was up all night studying."

OLIVIA'S POV The school congratulated the baseball team on their win. The Dean of Students had called a special assembly to honor their achievement, and the whole school had gathered in the gym to cheer them on. As the Dean of Students handed out certificates and praised the team's hard work, Mrs. Shelly, the supervisor of the glee club, stood up from her seat in the back of the room. "Um, excuse me, Dean of Students?" she said, her voice hesitant. The Dean of Students looked at her in surprise. "Yes, Mrs. Shelly?" "I just wanted to remind everyone that the school glee club also won a competition recently," she said, a hint of pride in her voice. "Perhaps we could also be included in the celebration?"

Chapter 90

DANTE'S POV As I walked into the locker room for practice, I could feel the eyes on my back. My teammates were all staring at me, their faces filled with a mix of confusion and disgust. "Hey, Dante, what's going on?" Reynolds, one of the team players, asked, his voice dripping with sarcasm. "We didn't know you were into that sort of thing." He was Jesse's sidekick so I wasn't expecting much from him. "It's none of your business," I replied, trying to keep my cool. But the guys just kept pushing. "Dude, she's your sister," another one said, his voice filled with revulsion. "That's just wrong." I fel
