The phone rang violently on the bedside table. It was on the verge of falling off the edge of the table when Penelope angrily grabbed it and answered the call without checking the caller ID. “What?” She snapped on the phone. The caller chuckled darkly, “That is no way to speak to someone who can ruin your life in a second.” The voice was familiar so she withdrew the phone from her ear to confirm her suspicion. “Drew?” “That is right, baby,” He answered. His term of endearment sprinkled a sour feeling, “What the hell are you on about, huh? What could you possibly do to ruin me?” She asked, sitting up on the bed with a pillow plopped on her knees, “Your child. I will tell the whole world it is mine.” He sneered. Penelope shifted to the edge of the bed. How does he even know that I am pregnant? “Are you stalking me?” She asked. “We both know that nothing happened between us.” She said, sounding confident.
