Third Person's POV Atticus wakes up without Harris's body tangled with his. The Alpha reaches out but all he feels is the cold bed next to him. Atticus' eyes snap open and he quickly sits up, his eyes darting around, looking for his mate. The bathroom door is open, the lights are off, and no sound is coming from the room. Atticus hops out of bed and throws the bedroom door open, heart pounding in his chest. As soon as he enters the hallway, Atticus pauses and closes his eyes as he lets out a breath. The scent of breakfast fills his nose the moment he steps into the hall, letting the Alpha know exactly where his mate is. Gathering himself, Atticus proceeds down the hall, but at a much slower pace. As the kitchen comes into view the larger Alpha smiles at the sight of Harris dancing while flipping the bacon.
