Third Person's POV It's been two days and Adonis is still not the same. Lana looks out the window and sees his dragon flying high in the sky. The petite dragon walks toward the door that sits wide open, letting the warm breeze into their cozy little cottage. Lana folds her arms as she leans against the entryway. Her eyes take in the scenery of the island outside their door. She smiles at the dragon chickens that are scratching at the ground before plucking at it. The silly little things haven't roamed far. They stay close to the coop, not understanding they're free. Lana lets out a breath before reaching behind the door and grabbing the largest basket. The Little Dragon heads out to the field and her basket is overflowing within an hour. After collecting a handful of seeds from each of her favorite plants, she stuffs them into the basket and then walks toward the bed. Lana gets down on the ground and shimmy's underneath the bed, grabbing the last two suitcases that were tucked f
Third Person's POV Stepping through the portal Lana smiles at the beautiful apartment Atticus gave them. It wasn't anywhere near as grand or extravagant as the castle once was, but compared to what she'd been living in for the past 500 years, it seemed just as extravagant. Dragons are used to and love beautiful things. Dragons especially love jewelry and love to see submissives decorated in gold jewelry and precious stones. Art, vases, gold, and other colorful things decorated the halls of the castle. Dragons were obsessed with things they found beautiful and wanted to display them or wear them. The shinier, the more colorful, the more beautiful, the better. They had celebrations just so they could dress up their dragons in gold armor, and colors they favored. Lana has enjoyed her cozy little cabin, but seeing the beauty of this home reminds Lana of a time that is long gone. It's bittersweet, but somehow it makes her feel closer to home than the cabin did. Which is strange for the p
Third Person's POV Lana scooted closer to her mate and Adonis lifted his arm, tucking her against his side. It was bad enough being around so many people, but it was even worse with everyone looking at them while Atticus spoke. It helped a little that everyone looked at them curiously and excited, instead of judgmental or angry that they were there. Lana was startled when she felt someone grab her arm. Lana looked to her right and saw the little Omega hooking his arm with hers as he smiled at her. Lana smiled back, she thought River was adorable. She likes how it seems the wolf Omega's are no different than Omega dragons. They're small and delicate compared to the other ranks and they flock to other omegas. Although these Omega's seem to really like her for some reason. Lana is surprised the fluffy little white-haired Omega isn't here hanging off of her other arm. “Hi!” A voice startled Lana and she jumped and she looked forward. “I'm Tristan! I was Atticus' Beta before we came h
Third Person's POV Adonis tucks Lana into his side as the strangers approach them. Three of the strangers are quite large, Larger than he is which makes Adonis very uncomfortable. Atticus reaches up and squeezes Adonis’ shoulder, trying to assure him they're safe. “This is everyone I told you about. This is Reid, the Alpha King, and his mate and Luna, Julian.” Harris said as he pointed to each person and then turned his attention to Lana. “This is Atticus' cousin Lana, and her chosen mate Adonis.” Adonis carefully observed the Alpha King, taking note of his large size and strong alpha aura. Reid reached out and shook the warrior's hand. “It's a pleasure to meet you! We're very happy Atticus has found more of his kind.” Reid said and then reached back and pulled Julian forward. “This is my Luna, Julian,” Reid said proudly as he smiled down at his little Luna. Adonis' nose flared as the little wolf reached his hand out with a smile. Adonis tried not to react when he smelled the
Third Person's POV Harris took a step forward and felt his chest tighten as he watched his mate fly away without him. Harris wasn't sure exactly what he was feeling. Usually, Atticus turns to him, or at least takes him with him, but this time he ran away from him. It was a cold feeling and Harris looked at the ground once his alpha was out of sight. Harris's hand rested on his stomach as his eyes closed. He couldn't help but wonder what this mess meant. Does his mate blame him? Is he mad at him too? What if he is? What if this is the one thing that Atticus can't look past and he goes home and never comes back? Harris’ eyes burned at that thought. If Atticus, Lana, and Adonis went home, he would never be able to find him. If his Alpha never came back, he would have to raise their son alone. Harris opened his eyes and looked up when he felt someone tugging on his clothes and gripping his shoulder as they practically climbed up his body. White here was all Harris could see and h
Third Person's POV Silas was frozen as he stood there staring at the dragon standing at the end of the hall. The bottle slips from Silas's hand and he pulls his baby against his body tucking her face under his neck. ‘Ian, come get the baby now!’ Silas said through the link, wanting his baby far away from the dragon in front of him. Ian gasped when he entered the hall and saw Adonis standing at the end of it. The Beta's heart began to race and he quickly pushed on the link to Reid as he stepped forward and took the baby from Silas. Ian tucked Ivy as close to his body as he could, shielding her just behind Silas as he reached up and placed his hand on Silas' arm. “I remember you now. You thought you killed me, but you didn't! My dragon healed me and I climbed out of that fucking well. You're been sitting here living it up while my entire city lies in shambles because of you and your kind! My city is one giant graveyard of my people and their dragons. And here you are, living it up
Third Person's POV After making sure Silas and Ian were okay, Reid ran downstairs as fast as he could. The Alpha didn't want to leave Julian with all the children to make it back on their own, but he had no choice when he received a frantic link from Ian. Reid was relieved when he stepped onto the porch and saw Julian and the children approaching. However, his relief was short-lived when he saw how weak Julian looked and he was barely lifting his feet off the ground, dragging his toes, almost stumbling with every step. “Shit!” Reid cursed as he raced forward and caught Julian as his Omega weakly reached for him while falling forward. “Children, follow me!” Reid ran up the stairs and was thankful to see Damien when the front door opened. “I need you to watch the children and calm them down,” Reid said and ignored the concerned look on his Beta's face when he saw Julian's body go limp in his arms. Reid felt the wind shifting around him as he raced up the stairs while pushing h
Third Person's POV After looking at Grayson and Ezra, it was no surprise they were both infected as well. Grayson sat still while Nadja healed him but Ezra had other things in mind. The little King wouldn't sit still and continued to squirm out of Nadja's hands, causing Julian to giggle and the elder to growl in frustration. “You little stinker! Just hold still for a moment!” It took Reid and Julian pinning the little king to the bed for Nadja to be able to heal him. Julian giggled again when Ezra growled and tried biting Reid's hands. “Boy, he sure doesn't like that!” Julian said as Ezra growled louder when Nadja dug deeper. Ezra squeezed his eyes closed and scrunched his face up, as if he was trying to force something to happen. A moment later everyone suddenly let go of him with a yelp when they got shocked. The little 3-year-old laid there smiling, proud of himself as everyone else rubbed their hands, looking at the little king in shock. “Well, it looks like he just dis
Third Person’s POV The sound of Evelyn's laughter rings out. The little Omega covers her mouth while she laughs at the icing all over Nadja's face. The Elder was taken off guard this time. Evelyn didn't give him a chance to anticipate what was coming. She simply called his name and when the elder turned she stuffed a cupcake into his face. As shocked as Nadja was, the beautiful sound of her laughter was worth it. He sat there for a moment before bringing the napkin in his lap to his face. Evelyn continued to laugh as she stood up and took the napkin from Nadja. The Omega sat sideways on his lap as she cleaned the icing from his face. After wiping the icing from his eyes they fluttered open and Evelyn froze, her breath caught and her heart skipped a beat for the first time. Nadja froze when he heard her heart skip. For a moment the Elder couldn't move. After a moment Nadja reached up and took the napkin with one hand while bringing his left hand to her creamy white cheek. “Thank y
Third Person's POV Grayson laughed as he ran from his growling brother. Ezra didn't find it funny when his brother froze his entire bowl of soup as he dug his spoon into it. The little King tried to ignore his brother as he brought his cup of juice to his mouth just to have the frozen contents slide out and hit his nose. Ezra growled as he reached out and shocked Grayson. The Future Alpha King yelped and then took off running with Ezra hot on his tail. Silas ran his hand down his face as he watched the two brothers chase each other around the yard. Grayson, now 10, created a snowball in his hand and threw it at his brother, hitting him square in the nose. This only infuriated Ezra and the 8-year-old thrust his hands forward, shocking Grayson. Grayson grunts as his body falls to the ground mid-sprint. Grayson blinks his eyes just in time to see Ezra lunging for him. His eyes widened as he tried to roll away but he was too late. The younger brother landed on top of Grayson and quickl
Third Person's POV It's been 5 years since Harris had their first child. A year and a half later their son Niles was born. He's an omega, a dragon/werewolf hybrid at the curious age of 3 and 1/2. Atticus doesn't know if they'll have any more kids. But his heart is content knowing he and his mate brought two dragons into this world. Not only that, they honored his Father and the Dad he had for such a short time. Michael got over his anger with Noah removing his tubes rather quickly. Asher on the other hand had to keep his walls up constantly. Onyx was devastated. He had hoped for more children, even though Noah expressed his desire not to have anymore. Onyx couldn't wrap his head around why Noah would take something like that from him. He didn't understand it, even after Asher's explanation. Onyx wished he would have kept a closer eye on Noah. The Alpha wolf was adamant that he would have never let the Omega take something like that from him. The Alpha wolf was so angry at Noah, tha
Third Person's POV Xavier stuck the bottle into the warmer and nervously glanced at Theo. The Omega rocked back and forth as Vivian fed from him. Damien was out cold on the couch due to Vivian having a hard time sleeping last night so the Beta was up with her. Xavier scratched the back of his neck as he struggled to find words for the Omega. He felt beyond guilty for the thoughts that went through his head at the hospital, and for the way he snapped at Theo when he asked a simple question about their child's name. Xavier hated the thoughts that went through his head when he felt Damien die and he hated that those thoughts didn't go away while he waited for Damien to wake up. The Alpha wasn't sure what to say, or how to make amends, or how to make things right again. Xavier wished Theo would be mad at him. He wanted the Omega to lash out, shout at him, yell, scream, or hit him. He felt he deserved it and so much more. After laying Vivian in her swing, Theo went back into the kit
Third Person's POV Xavier can't feel anything beyond the excruciating pain of the broken mate bond, and his broken heart. He can't even bring himself to comfort his hurt omega who is curled up in the fetal position on the floor next to him, sobbing uncontrollably. As much as he loves Theo, the Alpha can't function without his Beta who saved him all those years ago. Damien was the very air he breathed. His heart feels like it was ripped from his chest. He doesn't want to live without Damien. The Alpha's head reels as he feels the death of his little mate, and he can't figure out how to go on without him. Xavier sucks in a breath before leaning forward and screaming. Spit connects his lips as he screams while tears flow down his face and drip from his chin. The doctor works fast trying to stop the bleeding and clear out as much blood as he could so he could see. With the baby out, the doctor pulls the top of the uterus out and is shocked at how thin and weak it is. It's practically
Third Person's POV Harris slowly breathed as he held his stomach. Another nurse burst into the room and quickly began asking Harris questions. Harris almost felt dizzy with how fast everything was moving. One moment they were in the backyard relaxing, the next minute Finn was in labor, then Damien, and now he might be as well. It was all too much, too soon. Harris wasn't ready. What if they didn't have everything they needed? What if he messes up? What if he isn't good enough, and fails at being a Dad? What if it isn't a dragon, and he fails to give Atticus what he has been hoping for? Harris blinks his eyes several times and a face inches from his own comes into view. Harris realizes Atticus is holding his face. “Stop!... Everything is going to be just fine! We have everything we need and so much more. Of course, we're both going to mess up, but we're going to learn from our mistakes and do better. We're not perfect, no one is! But you will never fail at being a dad! You are going
Third Person's POV “My water broke!” Addison took a sharp breath in as Maddox rushed forward, scooping his mate into his arms and praying his little angel didn't sneeze again. No one had to say anything, it was like they worked as one mind as everyone rushed through the pack house and out the front door. The sound of two engines roared to life as the vehicles sped out racing towards the hospital. “How are you feeling? Are you in any pain?” Addison asked as she adjusted Lucian's legs over her lap. “No, not yet. Just a little discomfort in my back.” Lucian said and then slowly exhaled as his stomach became tight. Addison looked between Finn's stomach that was exposed and his face. “How bad was that one?” Addison asked when Finn's body relaxed. “Not that bad. It's just a little stronger than the Braxton Hicks.” Finn said as he rubbed his belly. The Omega closed his eyes and leaned back against Maddox as Addison caressed his stomach. Addison looked into Maddox's eyes and could
Third Person's POV As Atticus steps out the back door he breathes a sigh of relief seeing the many heaters on the patio. Fall has just arrived and Harris can't stand the cold. Dragons prefer very warm temperatures, but little dragons need and crave the heat even more. Harris' body is responding to the growing dragon in his womb, reacting as if he himself was a dragon. The smaller Alpha wears a sweater during the day while everyone else is wearing t-shirts. In the evening he snuggles inside a warm thick coat while everyone else is simply wearing long-sleeved shirts. Draven doesn't mind, in fact he loves it. He's a proud mate and father, ever protective and attentive. Their apartment is never below 78, and whenever they're snuggling or sleeping, Draven heats Atticus' body, warming their mate and growing hatchling. Addison holds the door open and watches each Alpha carefully lead their very pregnant mate out of the back door and onto the patio. Damien winces and Xavier is immediately co
Third Person's POV Harris swears his stomach wasn't this big yesterday. He feels like his stomach doubled in size overnight. Even though he's now five months pregnant, Harris was before somewhat able to hide it with large baggy shirts, but now there's no way for the Alpha to hide his ever growing abdomen. The car comes to a stop and Harris dreads stepping out of it. Especially since their little town seems so active right now. There are tons of people walking up and down the sidewalk, coming and going from each shop. Harris' hand protectively rests against his stomach, trying to hide his pregnancy. Harris nibbles on his lip before turning to look at his Alpha. “You know, we don't have to go shopping today. And, I can just get something to eat at home. Why don't we just go back!” Harris was hoping to change Atticus' mind, but the larger Alpha simply gave him a soft smile before climbing out of the car. “Damn it!” Harris cursed as he turned and looked out the window, watching all t
