41. Like Hercules.

Eoin. When Ben and James finally dragged me in my wolf form from the rubble, I barely had time to check myself over fully when Rori came scrambling over the mountains of rock, plaster, and brick "We have to distract the damn Dragon." She ordered, but I made a move in the direction she was running from where I had last seen my mate. "Jagger." She called, and I paused. "Trust me, Kayda has an ankle shackle on its magical, and Drakos is using some spell right now to hurt her. Sage is working on it, but he is counteracting it, we have to stop him and distract him long enough for Sage to remove it." Rori explained pleadingly and frantically as I centred my concentration to where the Dragon stood. He was still hurting my mate right now, and I was angry. With a mind link, I redirected the guys to help me face off with the dragon. Jagger growled menacingly, his hackles raised as we faced the dragon. "It's a hydra dragon." Arthur said. "Okay." I answered as I lunged angrily at t

42. A Mark

Kayda. I shifted back from Adalinda, and I barely took a breath when Eoin was covering me with a shirt. I pulled it on, eager to confront the now injured and crumbling figure of the so called Master. The man who had threatened to have sex with me against my will, who had kidnapped, held numerous young women captive, murdered girls who had defied him and who had hurt his mate so badly was now nothing more then a frail bleeding mess. My anger towards him was no longer unrefined and unbridled now the fear was completely gone, had I not been pregnant already I had no doubt he would of forced himself on me. I had seen his handiwork on Andy's skin, and that was enough. I pushed past Eoin, and blinded by my anger, I punched Drakos in his smug face. "You despicable piece of worthless skin." I screamed as I showered more punches on the man. He held his hands up weakly in a half-hearted defence, and my anger and loss of temper meant my blows were uncoordinated and frenzied as my emotion

43. Taking flight.

Eoin. I wanted to be by Kayda's side but I sent Ben, Rori and Chance after her, my need to be with my mate was only barely overpowered by my need to secure the lizard Drakos so I knew he would never harm my mate or anyone again. Arthur and James were happy to help, and once outside the huge villa, Arthur's warriors took the now weak Drakos a d escorted Jim back to the ship. "Looks like Kayga held her own." James said, placing a reassuring hand on my shoulder. "She's alright, Eoin." he added, reassuring me as I nodded numbly and felt the adrenaline of the past few hours drift away. Relief, exhaustion, and anxiety from the whole ordeal washed over me as I sank onto the sand of the small beach. "I thought I lost her." I admitted as James sat down next to me. "I know, but Kayda is made of strong stuff. It's why she is your mate and the future werewolf queen. No wall flower could handle the lifestyle. Eoin, you need to see the positives here. Kayda stayed alive and kept your pup

44. Smooth Sailing.

Kayda. We stood together on the beach and just looked at the sparkling sea and the dark night sky that stretched ahead. "What now?" Daisy asked. "Well, I guess whatever we want." I replied as a smile spread on her face. "I need to find my little sister, and I guess start over with her." Britney smiled. "Can I make a small suggestion ladies, why don't you come and stay at the palace? we can collect your sister, and then I would be happy to finance your new starts wherever that may be. Set you up with a home, a job, or a college course." Eoin said softly, and I was surprised to see Dana's eyes light up so keenly. "I always wanted to go to college in New York they have an amazing marketing degree." She gasped as Eoin smiled. "Im sure I can pull a few strings for that." he smirked as she squeeled, and I was shocked that Dana was so openly expressing her joy. "I would like somewhere nice and quite to raise my sister with no more chance of drama and maybe find a new coven or

45. A Gamma's Role

Eoin. Once Kayda and Andy were settled and fed, I left them alone with Ash to take a moment to think about all that had happened. Kayda was cuddled close to Ash as they chatted quietly. I had intended on asking him to be my royal Gamma, but instinctively, I knew as an Alpha that his wolf may not be a good fit. Ash was a tracker and a warrior, and quite frankly, he had some traits of a lone wolf. He never spoke about going off as a lone wolf, but he had always spoken about going on long warrior missions for the crown. That had always been his and Kayda's dream, and whilst I was aware Kayda's plans were changing, nothing made me think Ash's were. I watched him as he savoured the moment he had with his best friend back as she laughed at whatever he was saying. "You're surprisingly calm at how close your mate and brother are. Aren't Alpha wolves crazy possessive?" Chance asked, joining me at the sail boat rail and following my gaze to where Kayda, Ash, and Andy were. "Yes, we are, b

46. Floods of emotion

Kayda I was glad when I finally said goodnight to everyone as the adrenaline of the fight and our rescue had worn off. I made sure Andy was okay and had spoken to Daisy by using Eoin's phone to ring Sage. Daisy was in awe of the palace and excited by the magic she had experienced on the ghost roads. She was rambling on about how nice Sarah the omega was and was insisting on staying with the omegas who worked in the palace as she excitedly told me how they instantly understood her and she loved it. I had been well aware the single young omega palace staff lived together and hung around in a tight group helping each other with palace chores by day and partying it up by night but I was shocked at how quickly Daisy had integrated into their group. Britney had been sorted with one of the more spacious cottages that were in the woods by the palace in almost a little village, Madame Lux and the human watcher Fr Colm Roche lived there amoungst others who sought a more peaceful life. 47. My love, my life.

Eoin. I wanted to smash down the bathroom door as her sobs fluttered through the wooden walls of the cabin bedroom. It took all I had not to go in there, I knew Kayda liked to be the tough girl, the strong warrior who needed no one and showed no weakness. I didn't go in because I knew she was safe, and I figured she needed to let this emotion out, and if I went in there, she would bottle it right back up. So I sat there listening to my mate sob her heart out, I sat there as desperate and as helpless as I had been the whole time my mate was missing. My eyes never left the door, and just when I felt I couldn't take it anymore, the sobbing stopped, and the shower turned off. I laid out a tee shirt on the bed for her and stripped down to my boxers, ready to get into bed with her as I knew she had to be exhausted. She emerged slightly pale in complexion but otherwise her usual self and climbed into the bed silently when I gestured to her. Once cuddled together, I allowed myself to pull

48. Soaring high

Kayda. Our slow voyage was coming to an end, much to my relief. I enjoyed my time on the yaucht with my mate, Ash, Andy, and Chance. It helped that we were weighted on hand and foot by five-star silver service. In another time and another place, I would have savoured the holiday athmopsphere, but as I lay on the upper deck with Andy, I couldn't help but wish I was back home. I needed my own room and my family around me to truly believe my ordeal was completely over. As they say, there is no place like home. I knew once I got to the Palace and back to the Royal Pack, things would be different. The boat was stocked with essentials for any scenario, so Andy and I had been provided with two-piece bathing suits by the interior girls to lay out on the sun deck. I was enjoying the sun on my skin. "You're showing." Andy smiled, glancing at my abdomin where a small bump was now evident. "Well, the outfit leaves little room to hide it." I smiled. "But yeah, it seems to be getting bigge

49. Chance

Chance. The air shimmered, and where the bird had been, my mate now stood. She quickly covered herself with her hands. Her breasts were slightly larger than the arm she had thrown over them and spilt seductively over the sides of her arm that was concealing her nipples. Her skin was milky white despite the time she had spent sun bathing with Kayda on the bunny pad. My hands itched to touch her and the twitch in my cock brought me back to my senses. I wasn't about to be the second guy on the sun deck trying to hide his shame in swim shorts that concealed nothing. I spun away from Andy and was happy to note both Eoin and Ash had done the same probably far quicker then I had managed the act. "Ah, Chance?" she said softly and it went straight to my cock where he twitched again in my shorts. "Do you mind handing me my bathing suit?" she added softly as I began to think about a horror movie I had recently watched in an attempt to not think of anything sexual. Kayda held the green suit

50. Family

Kayda. I was so delighted when the boat docked, and we all climbed into the waiting royal SUVs for the final leg of our journey. Andy seemed lighter since her shift, and whatever conversation her and Chance had, she told me she told him everything, and he had taken it well. He had also discussed the Gamma role with her, and she had encouraged him to take it. She was happy to settle in the Royal Pack, and Chance had made a housing request that Eoin had been glad to have fulfilled. My world was about to change. I was unmarked yet as Eoin's mate, but people now knew I was the queen. I wasn't sure how many people knew I was also carrying the crowned royal heir. The royal warriors appeared to escort the entourage, but I was scanning the warriors for someone I knew would be there. My eyes locked with his, and I dropped Eoins hand to run to him. "Dad." I cried out as I rushed into his open embrace. I felt like when I was eight years old and had been to summer camp and not seen him for a
