Chapter Forty One - Another Farewell

Natalie GraysonThe morning was less eventful than a Bingo night back in my pack. Even though there was some excitement, nothing really ever happened and everything was really quiet, besides the occasional cheek kisses from Nolan, of course. Breakfast consisted of the usual oatmeal and orange juice, with my hand wrapped around Nolan's as we spent it in the mess hall talking about what it was like in therapy or back in his pack. He was very proud to know that I was doing well in learning my duties as a Luna, and I was also very proud to know that he was doing very well in his therapy sessions. He seemed to hold my hand as if it was made of glass and I relished in the feeling of his warmth around my cold dainty hands. It felt comforting and really nice to have someone cherish you like they were going to lose you. Granted, he was by my side every second of the morning, but I liked him next to me. His brother seemed really happy that we were sorting things out and he enjoyed the fact t

Chapter Forty Two - Blurting Her Feelings Out

Natalie Grayson I left the Armor pack back to Nolan's pack with a big smile on my face. My lips were still tingling from his kiss and my heart was still beating rapidly from his touch. Luna Martha had a smirk plastered on her face as soon as she saw my expression after meeting with Nolan. Obviously, she felt smug because of the look on my face as she nudged me on the shoulder with a questioning look and the raise of an eyebrow. "So how did the meet up go?" she asked and grinned as we drove into the forest. I blushed as I tried to fight the smile that really wanted to appear on my face as I tried to hold back all my emotions. "Um, it was interesting,” I said as I tried to keep my cool but after a few seconds, I failed myself and a big smile etched its way onto my face, while a very amused expression appeared on Luna Martha's face as she looked on at me. “Interesting, huh? I can practically smell him on you!" she said, squealing in delight and it instantly made me wonder if she was

Chapter Forty Three - A Successful Training

Natalie GraysonThe sound of my beating heart rang in my ears as I dodged another attack, my right arm swinging to come into contact with a cheek and it made a very harsh 'whack' sound, and I could feel my knuckles breaking under the pressure. Sweat dripped down my forehead as I swung my leg around which succeeded in making me to knock my opponent to the ground, and that made them to lose their balance.I swung my body on top of them and gave them two hard punches on the cheek before the person regained their strength and pushed me off them. Then I breathed in deeply as I saw my opponent smirking tauntingly and before I could do anything, they punched me square on my jaw and I could feel blood seeping through the broken skin. I growled ferociously at them and swung my right arm again which hit them on the nose, making them take a step back as I hit them in the stomach which caused them to groan loudly as they gripped their stomach. I took this chance to throw my punches quickly whi

Chapter Forty Four - Time Together

Nolan WalterHaving Natalie in my arms soothed me to the point that my wolf was content. The past few weeks had been hectic as my wolf and my human side were slowly beginning to balance with each other, and Natalie and I had fixed up the patches that I had made to our relationship. The mark on her shoulder had started to clear up and only a little bit of redness still remained circled around my mark. It felt good to have her in my arms, with her lips on mine and her mind completely opening up for me so I could tell what she was feeling but of course, I could tell anyway. It felt weird to experience so much affection, but I liked it too much to let go of Natalie. Her head was buried in the crook of my neck and my head was also in the same place in her neck as I peppered her neck with loving kisses which made her to shiver under my touch. Her scent was too strong for me, so much that it made my legs weaken and the pull of our mark was too strong for either us to ignore. We both loved

Chapter Forty Five - A Tension-filled Dinner

Natalie Grayson I sat down at the right side of the head of the table because it was compulsory for the future Luna to sit there since the seat was next to that of her mate at the dinner table. It was something that I had learned from my Luna training and luckily this was one of the things that I could remember from the amount of information that was crammed into my brain. But I felt awkward seating at the head of the table as each member of the family except Brandon kept staring at me with a judgmental look in their eyes. As they kept looking at me, I took a shaky breath because my nerves were almost going haywire everywhere. This was the first time I would be having dinner with the entire Walter family and right now, it didn't seem like a family to me at all. I missed my family. I really missed them. I wanted to avoid their piercing gazes so I tried to concentrate on the hand which was clamped over mine with the thumb rubbing over the top of my hand as he tried to start a co

Chapter Forty Six - His Loving Arms

Narrator's POV All eyes were on the infamous pair, and Nolan's stance was stiff as his eyes zoned in on every family member, trying to see if any of them would protest on what had happened or would speak up to the Alpha challengingly. But none of them said anything as they kept their nonexistent tails tucked underneath them while their necks were being pointed towards him, showing submission to him, so he breathed out in triumph. His eyes moved over to Natalie who was painfully clutching his left hand to the point that he was scarcely able to feel it. There was a hue of orange around her and it showed how tense and how uncomfortable she was. There was also a very faint hue of blue surrounding her which indicated her sadness. His heart jerked at the sight of her and his wolf wanted and was pleading to comfort her, but he knew it would make matters worse if he were to do that in front of everyone because they were too uncomfortable and the air was too thick with tension to do somethi

Chapter Forty Seven - Family Time

Nolan Walter My family sat in my office, my sister next to my parents and my brother, and all of them seemed to understand what would be happening. They all looked at me expectantly, their eyes trained on me as they waited for something to happen. Gwen's gaze was hard, and I could see that she was tense. Her hormones practically leached out of her, and she was quite mad for someone who woke up pretty early in the morning, since she was a morning person. My mother and father were looking at me curiously, but their gazes were solely on me and I could see the annoyance in them for waking up earlier than when they should have been awake, but this matter was too urgent to not happen now. "What all of you did yesterday was unacceptable. Brandon, you of all people should have at least said something. Gwen, you were out of line and Mother and Father, you too," I told them with a command placed in my voice. Gwen was fidgeting in her seat after I spoke but her hard gaze still remained on me

Chapter Forty Eight - A Discussion

Natalie Grayson I went downstairs after I took a shower. The worry was still settled in the pit of my stomach as I somehow found my way to the kitchen. I was dressed in a pair of grey sweatpants that hung low on my hips and a thin white long-sleeved shirt which revealed the outline of my bra until I put a singlet underneath it. I took a deep breath in as I pushed the doors open where I saw a couple of the maids tending to the breakfast for the day. The dining room, open kitchen and the living room were being taken over by the smell of fried meat and freshly made bread which was baking in the oven. Once the maids saw me, they bowed in respect and I did the same and they continued to prepare for the family's arrival. I sat on one of the seats next to the kitchen where I just observed the maids from afar as they cooked and cleaned. There were about four maids for the day, and I had yet to learn their names. They were a constant in this room and I liked to see some regularity in my day

Chapter Forty Nine - Training and Goodbyes

Natalie Grayson Breakfast was uneventful, and I had decided to avoid the family who were talking amongst themselves as Nolan sat next to me on one of the seats in the kitchen stroking my thigh in comfort as we ate breakfast silently. It felt good to have a day without any drama. Nolan would be leaving later in the day so I wanted to show him all I had learned in my warrior training before he went back to the other pack. After breakfast, I took his hand and tugged him through the hallways and into our bedroom where I told him to sit and wait for me so he could watch me train. He gave me a bright smile before I headed into the bathroom and changed into my training gear which consisted of a beige colored tank top and a matching pair of beige colored leggings. I went back into the room where Nolan was casually sitting on my bed and staring at nothing, until his eyes landed on me and his pearly white teeth appeared as he smiled brightly. I knew that he couldn't see what I was wearing, b

Chapter Fifty - An Invitation

Natalie Grayson Missing someone had always been easy for me. It was like a dull ache was in my chest whenever I thought of them, like the friends I had left in my old pack. I knew it was selfish of me to only miss them a tiny bit, I missed my family more and well, missing Nolan was a totally different case. Every time I thought of him, I felt like something was missing in me. It was as if a piece of my body was yearning for something which was miles away. My heart would always have a burning sensation whenever I thought of him and as time went by, I felt myself becoming more depressed without him. He had become a drug that I hadn't taken in ages. I had finally accepted his past and who he was as a person, and now the bond was repairing itself accordingly. My mark had finally turned back to what it should have been from the onset. It now looked like two puncture holes which had sealed up and every time I touched it, I felt a wave of happiness bubble over me. I felt good to have a re
